Internet Explorer 9

you should.

i thought ie9 was still in beta?

it is

Opera is super speedy, does play Youtube videos, and gives you a “File/Edit/Tools/etc” toolbar (I hate the new ‘compact’ browser design).

Win, win, win for me.

so isnt this whole thread pretty redundant? moaning about something thats not even been released…

although that is pretty standard for some people on this forum!

har har!

Except that opera existed 12 years before chrome was even created.

And is still not better than Chrome

The File/Edit menu bar disagrees with you! :3

That’s funny, because the first thing I saw when I opened the latest Opera was this:

That is a matter of taste :hmph:

Personally, i like the new design. I just use keyboard shortcuts all the time too, soo…

Edit : pointed at daniel, but good point maxey

Still think firefox and opera are bad for laptops, they hog to much memory (lower classed laptops)

i use Crome for general use, but firefox for some of its addons, which are pretty fucking good.

My friend is running the Firefox 4 Beta and it runs excellent on his poor 256MB RAM. I personally use a heavily customized Firefox 3.6 (Glass effects , new icons, etc.). Internet Explorer is just so easy to exploit these days, and it lacks the nifty smart search of Firefox (You type your search into the address bar, and it auto-loads the related page).

I think that’s platform dependent (since all of the above are cross-platform browsers). I primarily dropped chrome because compared to opera it was slow as hell, buggy and a process drain on my win box.

Unfortunately the same seems to be true for opera on my current linuxbox. Luckily I have most browsers anyways when I have to optimize new web pages. Tough this may be caused by the flash plugin wrapper or the even worse moonlight implementation on rare pages.

I miss safari.

Internet Explorer sucks in any way or any upcoming version. They don’t support alot stuff as it works freaking annoying!!

Under the Opera Menu (that red thing in the corner), choose “Show Menu Bar” (I’m on Opera 10.62).

i use firefox and chrome, fire fox is uber fast, and can handle a ton of stuff, heck, it even scans for viruses on downloadable stuff!!!

just because of the monstrous travesty called ie6 and ie7 I’d rather use netfront than any browser writtenn by m$

I will give it a try when it’s finished. They added and changed a lot of stuff and it really seams like a good browser this time.

used opera > firefox> chrome, yeah for at leats a year, each time migrating to the better thing

Yeah I know, but most people will use it as it is and probably never find out about that.

If a program is a certain way by default, even if there is an option to put it in another way, most people won’t bother to find a way to change it.

Oh man, you’re so original and edgy, typing MS as M$, because the dollar sign looks like an “S” and because it means Microsoft is a greedy company haha, wow.
