I'm confused by all the complaining.

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!

It’s people like yourself stides that stopped the devs from using youtube, twitter etc.

+1

Stides, i know it might be difficult, but please, try to think about the scope of this project, and what it really tries to accomplish.

stides is a troll, or if not a complete moron.

How do you underestimate something like that, through? Has he not seen the media? Can he not tell that the maps and models are 100% different from the ones in HLS?

How hard can it be to make a texture? All you need is the right software, the know-how to use the software, the time, the experience to make it work between programs and some imagination!

Simple…

/sarcasm

I’ve never made one but I understand the lengths required to make professional looking artwork for games, those who think its an easy process either have no understanding of it or no standards.

I think it probably has something to do with many people forgetting how small the team is. A game developed by a full-time team of hundreds is very different.

And yet it staggers me how much shite the market craps out nowadays.

Same with movies. Hundreds of people all work together to produce a huge steaming pile of crap.

You know, you could always help them appreciate with, dare i say, more media?
:stuck_out_tongue: lol

NO MEDIA![/SIZE]

This is why I venture away from mainstream media such as movies. they never come up with good things…

ontopic ofcourse, I fail to see how people can think making things from scratch is easy.

#1. The coding to get everything to work how you wanted to takes time to make. I’m currently studying C++ and can barely make a time calculator work.
#2. The textures and models have to be created or else it’s invisible. BMS is creating their textures from scratch, no copy pasting. They want to make this game look good and less blocky. Already Valve has copy pasted Half-life into source and it doesn’t look any different from the orignal. better physics maybe but thats it. BMS is going back over to do what Valve should have done but didn’t.

Why people think any different escapes me. and ofcourse the smaller team size makes it harder to get it out as quickly as they wanted. I lurk on and off but atleast I understand that they don’t HAVE to finish this mod and release it to us. They don’t even have to release it to us if they finish it. They’re doing this because they want to. There never was a need to do this. Never is going to be a need. especially since they’re not getting any money for this. So let the idiots demand, they’ll get the same flame they always have.

you are so enlightened

Now it’s assumptions like that that keep people from discovering new things.

On the main page, they say it’s illegal to make us pay to play. What about donations for their effort? Would that be considered the same thing?

s1e9a8n5 - you are pushing the thread off topic and this will inevitably get this rather enjoyable thread closed…BUT OH WELL.
They have said several times that it is still them making money out of something which they haven’t “made from the ground up”. Even though they have… This shit’s confusing!

Please do. Let’s see how much fail comes out of it.

You are a tool…

Correction: you are incapable of finding the new files and assume there is no media. New files are uploaded to the wiki, and there is already a “Media” section on the top of the page.

I stand by what I said, you are a troll.

All I can say to the compaliners on Modb is

How do you know this?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
