if adrian shephard comes back......

Which is why I said I enjoyed OpFor. But no-one’s (that I can see) suggesting another OpFor where you play as Shepard, they’re suggesting having him appear as some form of NPC in a major HL release. Which is retarded, as would having Gordon be an NPC in a game where you did not play as him.

I wouldn’t be against further HL expansions with non-Gordon player characters. /shrug Arguably you could describe Portal that way already, and that was awesome.

The only other game where you play as Adrian Shepard is a HL2 mod called The Awakening. The G-Man wakes Shepard up from a sleeping pod and Shepard is assigned to get rid of the antlion problem. You can actually find it on Steam if you type “The Awakening” in the Steam search box. I personally hope that Adrian Shepard stays out of Gordon Freeman’s path. I don’t want to see the soldier that was sent to kill Freeman. Let the G-Man keep Shepard in stasis.

I like the minerva theory. It does feel like the characters on a course of redemption.
Sheparded should not be in the halflife games just like chel shouldnt, how in the hell could you give those to voices and purposes.
Dont get me wrong id quite happliy play a shepeard game I just wouldnt keep goin on about it.

and at least the shepeard love in isnt poluting other threads.

Oh, I thought they wanted another game all-together.

In that case, no, he doesn’t have any personality for that sort of thing.

Maybe you just seen a minor appear of Adrian? like a rebel talk to another guy and he call that guy “Mr. Adrian”

They could do something along those lines. If any of you have ever played the Red Faction series, you’d know what I’m talking about. In the 3rd one, Guerrilla, the player can find 2 Easter eggs. One of them is an old crazy man way out in the badlands, who talks about stuff from Red Faction 1. This guy is Parker, the player from the first game. You can also find the serial tag of the player from the 2nt game, confirming his death. Little hidden things like this would work perfectly for Shepard.
I can’t really think of an example, but maybe you could find his body or something along those lines.

Find his gasmask/PCV/PCV charger or something hidden behind some hard-to-reach shit in a corner of some warehouse or something.

Problem solved.

Most likely he is in the same time as episode 2, probably following freeman in some way shape or form, for example he might be a combine chasing freeman

Why the hell would he be a combine and why would he be chasing freeman?

I am thinking something along the lines of, a mass of dead rebel’s in a plane crash(or something similar)…with one of the rebels wearing a nametag with ‘Adrian Shepard’ on it. It would half satisfy the fan’s of Adrian Shepard, not really effect people who don’t want to see Shepard(they might even be happy to see him dead) and might lead way to a mod suggesting what happened in the time before the crash.

There’s something generally interesting about people who start on the bad side and choose to turn to the good side. If you tried not to jump to conclusions so quickly, you might actually find that out on your own.

Hm… Well, pardon me and others who actually find the character of a former Army soldier turned rogue interesting. I’m really glad that it’s Valve, and not you, making these games, because at least as far as HL games are concerned, they seem to care about what their fans think.

Live and let live, you know?

Because my statement totally conveys a vulgar hatred for all that played and enjoyed Opposing Force, right?

everybody hates everybody. Merrr!

you are right, as long there are two guy in a place, one guy gonna kill another.

It would be called OPFOR 2 and i think he should be put as a combine soldier and set to kill gordon and the rebels as one of G mans tests

Because G man would make him be put as a combine to see if he can kill gordon. and he is the character of opposing force so the combine is the opposition to the rebels so That would be the best idea for opposing force 2

One thing wrong with that: It makes no sense whatsoever if you’ve actually played the series. Why in the world would Gman now want to kill Gordon? I mean, after rescuing him from Xen, the Citadel, and basically keeping him alive through all of the shit he goes through, why would he suddenly decide to send Shepard after him?

Because he wants Adrian to killl HIMSELF

:fffuuu:

No.
No No No No No No No.
No.

Did I touch a nerve with my sarcasm? I played op4, kinda liked it, kinda didn’t. Lame ending, no real personality, totally static character, some cool, some not cool new aliens, cool weapons and crude npc sidekicks that do nothing for the game. I suppose that, to a literal minded teen or tweener, a marine from a secret battalion of trained alien fighting specialists running through the black mesa research facility wearing cammo and a gas mask wielding firearms on aliens, makes a little more sense than a 4 eyed nerd from M.I.T. with a special suit and a goatee running through the black mesa research facility wielding firearms on aliens and marines. Or, they just find him dreamy
