To quote my friend,
That one guy called them “layouts”
I fucking lost.
Almost all of those user reviews are horrifying. Most of them are just comparing it to other games.
Almost all of those users reviewing don’t know how to review.
That’s why we have ‘professionals’ review video games.
You just know those plebes are sitting in matchmaking and performing the three eyed cry anyway.
I’m darthkillyou
But I might change that someday.
Now you guys all know what DKY stands for.
"Outright trash. Graphics worse than halo reach storyline about. Irgu do **** like pulling money. Neponyatnoy story (rather pointless), my grandmother, and it is better to come up. They certainly could have done as usual, add enemies guns. But no. Even though they did not seem to me a sufficient (it is estimated not to me alone.) I hope that it will fail and more will not issue this **** I have read all Biboran. And glory Abdulov. "
I am going to use this intelligent review to form my own preconceptions.
I have seen spambots that are more comprehensible than that.
Okay, point made, and intellegently so. I’m just skeptical of Halo hype by default because Halo 3 was a massive turd. ODST remains my favorite of the series thus far, but I haven’t really gotten to play Reach other than the multiplayer beta. (To be fair, the MP beta was actually quite fun.)
Either way, I sunk my cash into Assassin’s Creed III and the ZOE collection over Halo 4 as it is. If someone wants to buy the game for me then I’ll play it and review it, but I’m just disillusioned with the massive hype over what essentially is a franchise zombie (since 343 is developing it and not Bungie).
Same about spending money on AC3 rather than Halo 4. My brother and I split the duties of buying either game. Sooner or later we’ll trade for a week or two to finish the respective campaigns/play some multiplayer.
But, in all honesty, I don’t see a reason why this would suck. The Halo series has ranged from at least decent to excellent (books included, here). Yes, gameplay was a little recycled, but Halo was never about strategy or puzzles. Halo is a heart-pumping shooter through and through, and faulting it for being so is just faulting the genre in general.
Halo carries a better story than most shooters I’ve come across. It also has such simple controls that they make playing feel natural, and this has NEVER been an issue since the first game. The issue has been hype for the series.
I agree with most of the gaming community that Halo 2 wasn’t up to snuff, but only in relation to WHAT WAS HYPED. Halo 3 was actually pretty awesome because it wasn’t told to be the second coming of Christ.
I also have to agree with you, Kenny, that ODST was the best in the series, but I suspect that was mostly because I absolutely LOVED the open city map of New Mombasa. Sneaking around in the dark while avoiding the larger Brute troops had such a sense of tension that I’ve been looking for ever since (and have found, of course, in AC3).
I almost lost as hard reading this as I did reading Pyro’s blaze on page 2.
In a piece of biting irony, I, the diehard fanboy in this forum that started the fucking thread in the first place does not own this fucking game on fucking day 1. I’m not sure when I’ll get my hands on Halo 4, but alksfahkjsdkhjfahkjlsdlhkflkadkjhgklhajjsdg.
Just don’t post spoilers here guys, please. Not yet. PLZ.
Master Chief is alive.
SPOILER ALERT mp is hella fun
and the SOUNDS jc, adam
Don’t worry, it was the same for me and AC3. We all had to sacrifice something for Sandy.
To be fair, it was amazing
