I was playing Fallout 3 for the first time today (excellent game I might add) and I caught this at the beginning:

Are you implying that fallout 3 copied half life by including the Washington Monument? Please tell me you aren’t an American and didn’t realize that is there in real life.

Also half-life 2 has the alien obelisk as a device to show just how crushing the combine are it fucking towers over the human obelisk you see in that town square area.

Anyway, Fallout 3 has many historical locations/monuments, and well, you should have kind of realized this. They don’t even resemble each-other very much, they’re just both tall and thin buildings. And the Citadel reaches over the clouds, which of course, this building doesn’t.

I know what it is. I live 20 minutes away from DC. I just wanted to point out the fact that it DOES look like the Citadel. Sheesh.

Hardly. It’s a partially destroyed obelisk. I don’t really see how that looks like a large mechanical building with a bunch of crevices and moving parts.
