Hp No longer making Pc's

Look’s like Hp is going to be selling it’s hardware division, this include the HP Tablet appearently.

That’s odd, they make good hardware but shitty software and now they’re gonna focus on the software?

Good luck with that.

good hardware? lol I still have my hp dv2000 “artist edition” totally bricked over a corrupted bios and no recovery method other than a new motherboard

Their printers are pretty good, it’s the drivers that suck.

Then again, printer drivers always generally suck.

my boss has 3 of them 2011 full feature 4-in-one wifi enabled HP’s and they suck harder than a brother MFC fax machine

wifi disconnects every 10 minutes, and the user manual instructs the user to manually disable wifi on the 24x8 lcd screen every time after printing, which my boss doesn’t even see properly, the printer has a cool feature, double sided printing, but it cuts off 1inch off the 1st side unless you manually print one side then switch the paper sides, and it takes 15 minutes to calibrate every time my boss or his wife are in a rush to send a fax, yes they only need to use the flatbed scanner, but since the printer is calibrating, you cannot do anything, and it does it all over again if you attempt a reboot

and he spent over 600$ at staples on one single set of cartridges for a laserjet 2600n only to find out that it was the printer itself that was defective, both staples and HP refused to fix it (technically, they offered to do it, for the price of a new 2600n)

HP do make decent hardware, it´s the software and firmware side that lacks, which ends up making their hardware look bad. I think it would be very interesting to see if they could compete with oracle, ibm and the likes with this bold move.

Furthermore, I wonder if this also includes Compaq, since HP own them.

HP doesn’t make bad computers, Compaq, on the other hand does, and HP owns them, so I suppose that could reflect badly on HP. Though I prefer Dell, so long as it isn’t Alienware.

i remember the chromed HP pc’s, overheating all the time … :fffuuu:

Heard from a guy who had a HP pc.

2.4ghz quad core… with 8GB of ram.

My PC is actually by HP. Have had it for over a year now. So far, so good.

rejoice!
