How would YOU release Black Mesa?

I would let Opera give it away on her TV show to the audience… “You get BlackMesa: Source, you get BlackMesa: Source, you get BlackMesa: Source, you know what? Everybody gets BlackMesa: Source!”

(Or Let Ellen do it  https://ellen.warnerbros.com/)

Fail.

But other than that, it’s a good idea.

That’s the point, knowing Opera/Ellen Audience, most likely none of them play video games, so they are probably just going to give it to their nonexistent kids :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, the point was that she is not called Opera.

Don’t take that crap Yoshilast. Opera Winfrey is a genius, and would do a good job. So would Elan.

i would add a link directly in the middle of the BM homepage that says “click here for unforseen consequences!”

I would tell everyone that Black Mesa is officially dead. So that every online-site is talking about it. And then, when every has talked about that Black Mesa is dead, release it, so that everyone is fooled

dressed like a clown on my birthday party.

I would release so incognito that no one would ever know it was released… OH wait… HAHA… they already did that…

I would give everyone who had a membership prior to the release a special edition with bonuses such as uhhhh free t-shirt?

On April 1st of last year, (or next if you reallly wanna), announce that the project has come to a halt, but at the same time, change the “MEDIA” link to a download link for the completed mod. Or change any link to a download link. Just randomly. Maybe even a random splotch of the website would be a link.

Place the download link in a random forum members sig disguised as a link that was previously in their sig.

Change the extension of the file to .jpg and put it as an image in someone sig.

Espescially if it was you.

'Cause you’d like it.

I would fake my own death hours before the official release, then check the forums and see how angry everyone is

Don’t worry, it have been taken care of.

No one would care TBH

Now that is true… I was thinking more along the lines of us not knowing that he was going to release it.

ASAP :expressionless:

I would put a stack of boxes in Xen and wait for a resonance cascade.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
