You just register the cd-key on Steam and you get the Valve back catalog.
Open Steam, click Games>Activate a product on Steam…>Enter the CD key>???>Profit

Anyway, I’m 24 (although my friends insist I look more like 40 
) I first played Half-Life probably in 2000 round my mate’s house. I then got the Generations pack, before it included Blue Shift, which my mate gave me his copy of because he didn’t like it! Then when Half-Life 2 came out I saw the same mate play that on his PC, because I didn’t get a PC that could handle it until about 2006-2007. A different mate donated Ep1 on Steam, and shortly after I got the Orange Box. Now I have the whole collection, and HL owns my life…
- Half-Life was introduced to me in the late 90s sometime. I remember being impressed that you could actually see the actual weapon that someone was using in multiplay and that you could actually see them reload their weapons as well. That blew me away. I was used to Duke3D’s static sprites which never changed no matter what you did and you had to press “W” so a sprite of the weapon a given player was using would appear over their heads.
I have fond memories of Counter-Strike Beta 3 and Action Half-Life Beta 2+. I remember when Action Half-Life Beta 3 was supposed to come out. Then I stopped playing and came back later and noticed it was out…and nobody was playing it. Action HL was a great game. Why isn’t there an Action HL2?

i was 6 when i first played half life. my dad got a copy for his birthday but never played so i did.(got my ass whupped hard when he found out id played a rated m game

form then on i was only allowed to play games like myst, pokemon, and other e adventures until i was 13.
but damn i still remember hearing the music when you first get the hev suit like it was yesterday

Been a true fan of Half Life since 2004… Yep, discovered it at a young(er) age 
I’m 17½, but my voice is apparently something like 35(not sure if thats good or bad, please tell me) discovered HL back when i was 11 (I think), started loving the series when i played HL2 at a friend in 04-05.:freeman:
Got HL holiday pack (hl2, ep1, lc, dm and hl :s ) in 05, OB at release, l4d at the freeweekend in 09, l4d2 at release, cs :s this Jan and HL gen(hl, bs, of, ricochet, cs, dod, tfc) from a friend in may. Now all i need is dod :s and im a happy man :freeman: !!!
