How does Gordon have a HUD if he doesn't have a helmet?

Oh shi- O_o

Why did some people in this thread mention Gordon having a helmet hud, everyone knows that Barney stole his him helmet for shits and giggles:3

More importantly, how does Gordon communicate without a voice?

Sign language , or Gordon Freemans beard is intimidating enough that people know what he will say :freeman:

Telepathy, duh.

(Telepathy…ya right…who does this guy think he is?)

(He is right you know :freeman:, I do communicate through telepathy)

The REASON we all THINK and KNOW Gordon Freeman is a baddass muthafucka is because he runs around Black Mesa WITHOUT a helmet. If he did wear the helmet, he would most likely end up like that wimpy piece of fucking shit, Master Chief Pussy. Lawl.

In Conclusion, Poeple who do not wear helmets while performing under hazardous conditions are labled as more badass than people who do.

Example: Tony Hawk wears a helmet and pushes young hearts into safety.
: Bam Margera does not wear a helmet, skates naked, and destroys basically everthing he comes across.

(Bam may not be the better skater but he is deff more badass.)

:freeman:

Is it bad that I don’t know who Bam Margera is?

I always thought the HUD was on his glasses… But you guys are right it IS a game, but that doesn’t mean that we still can’t debate over it.

SCIENCE!!!

Gordon actually suffers from a rare disease called Gordonic Freemania which, along with an above average ability to estimate his own well being and keep track of a myriad of variables (like ammo), causes him to hallucinate information integral to his current situation.

I think Valve thought of having an enemy (Mr. Friendly) that would knock his glasses off to the ground and make his vision blurry. So I don’t think he would have 20/20 vision.

wat

Off topic: I thought I saw your name somewhere before, you’re from the TGC forums arent you?

It CANNOT be on his glasses because you only get HUD once you acquire the suit. Also it CLEARLY states that it is starting to monitor his body and weapons and display them to him.
/glasses!

PS: It’s a game, and valve shows him sans helmet for art so the character has a face, obviously he is wearing it in action!

Way to ignore the entirety of the thread proving you wrong.

Actually I read the whole thread, are you referring to that fact that people said the suit projects it on? That’s just absurd! (My opinion anyway)

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
