How does Gordon have a HUD if he doesn't have a helmet?

Just out of plain curiousity how does Gordon see how much health he has or his suit functions because I doubt his glasses can zoom in like that

If you notice in either HL game the suit doesn’t have a helmet…

I mean how has no one noticed this and his reflexes must be olympian to have dodged literally over a thousand headcrabs. He doesn’t even have a beanie like the other rebels he just has a stern expression a pair of glasses and a cool beard

Also no one better ban me for questioning our God because that would really suck

LOOK AT IT! :freeman: :freeman: :freeman: :freeman: :freeman: JUST LOOK AT IT!

I think the most reasonable explanation would be that he’s GORDON FUCKING FREEMAN.

His beard has a projector in it which projects it into his eyes.

He’s a video game character, you hooligan.

HUD glasses. Duh.

Advanced HUD glasses of SCIENCE.

:fffuuu: Ninja!

Better question would be: how does he have a hud without a suit?

…He doesn’t?

But he does.

But he doesn’t. In neither HL nor HL2.

Yes he does. There’s just nothing displayed on it.

If there’s nothing there then there’s no HUD. :expressionless:

Yes there is, it’s just blank. It still exists.

Dias is right, before you even get the suit, you are told via the HUD
“USE = PICK UP” “MOUSE2 = THROW OBJECT”

among other things.

Pick up that can

By Jove, he’s right.

Its the carrots kicking in that lets him zoom in.

If more people would just admit I’m right, the world would be a better place. It would be a place without me bitching about how right I am.

I think the most reasonable explanation would be that IT’S A FUCKING GAME.

I noticed this a long ass time ago. Ive always gone with the explanation that hes just not wearing the helmet piece in the pictures so the main character has a face, but in game he is useing it or else almost absolutely nothing makes sense at all, like why they would send a scientist with a headless hazard suit into a test chamber.

They seemed to be fucking up everything else that day. Why not go all-out?

lol ok the parts where it says press the e key to pick up/throw objects is a simple answer, its a game lol! There are alot of games that have that but no explanation for why, it doesnt need to its instructions…

and actually the suit does have a helmet its just when you see pictures of him its without his helmet on because you wouldnt recognise him. the helmet doesnt need to be visible before you put it on its more of a attachment after hes put it on. The reason i know he has a helmet well because its a game and it doesnt matter anyway but also how in the world would he survive in Xen, notice every other HEV scientist there had a helmet???

EDIT: just relised that in opposing force there were scientists there in labcoats and where surviving but still it doesnt change the fact that he could have a helmet :stuck_out_tongue: its not like you see him put it on its an instant im on you suit as you walk into me :stuck_out_tongue: .
