How did Eli and Kleiner get to Eastern Europe?

Hola, amigo.

Is today your Spanish day or something? I’ve seen you post in espanol in other threads today too.

Don’t screw up my thread, people.

I also think that Isaac, Eli, Barney, and Gordon were all friends. It would make sense. We know that Gordon and Barney were, and also that Isaac oversaw Gordon getting his PhD and all that. Eli and Isaac probably stuck together even if they didn’t know each other before (which they most certainly did), because Eli was taking care of Isaac when he got hurt in the Resonance Cascade.

They tied a coup,e of sea turtle together using rope made from the hair on their backs, they rode the sea turtles to bulgaria and then had a jolly good night getting freakay

My definition was pretty fucking broad. And that’s why I asked; How do you people enjoy mindless babble (skilless trolling) entertaining? Am I the only one who believes that for something to be funny it needs to be clever and require some thought?

I just think were all bored. I mean it only takes about a minute to post, so it’s not like we actually enjoy it here. It’s all a nifty time waster…

relocation, also eli lost his leg escaping black mesa

I always thought that Half-Life 2 was in Russia, since you can see Russian writing in the Hospital in Episode 1

remember USSR ?

It’s not Russian. The letters are Cyrillic and are used by more languages than Russian. Not sure what language it is, but someone who speaks it said so on this forum at some point. Somewhere in Eastern Europe.

I don’t think Eli and Kleiner were relocated.

Here’s what I think: They already knew how was Breen before the invasion. When he ascendend to “supervisor” (I don’t clearly remember), both of them already knew what was happening, and looked for a place that, in first instance, had the same infrastructure as Black Mesa - mainly, White Forest (a missle silo), and more places as satellite laboratories (Black Mesa East, as a chief one, and Kleiner’s lab, so that if one laboratory was invaded, there were more doing the research). Why Eastern Europe? I don’t know. Perhaps they were in a hurry to find a place, and perhaps BM had connections with some people there.

I would like to remember you guys, that what I wrote is merely speculation, and represents my opinion of what COULD be that happened. I, as for you, AM NOT THE LORD OF THE TRUTH, so flame war isn’t going to help the thread.

RestlessMind made an honest question, and almost half of this thread had posts putting this idea on a ridiculous situation. If you agree with me, fine; if not, don’t waste your time answering or PMing me how stupid my post is. He, as anyone on this forum has the RIGHT to share what he think it is important. Again, if you agree, fine; if not, answer why in a civilized way, or be quiet.

I wonder if that rocket silo was a relic of the cold war…

they could have gone to eastertn europe, because they needed rocket silos to stop
the portal storms and they knew/suspected, that there could be / are several of those
rocket silos in eastern europe, because of the cold war.

perhaps it helps that we keep in mind,
that gman took alyx from black mesa (ep2 gman monologue),
that barney, (if bs is cannon, is it ? idk…) actually made it out of bmrf by car (see bs ending),
and that elis and klieners way of escape is unknown.
magnusson made it to eastern europe too.
so did mossman.

all those guys are in europe now.
i think this is either the relocation by combine
or the gman has intervened somewhere

… i dunno. Portals?

please get the fuck over yourself

I’m confused, I’v heard so much chit about Eli’s leg.

  1. Was taken by a bullsquid while escaping Black Mesa.

  2. random teleportation rift mother fucker took it off.

Both theories sound reasonable. Which one was it?

Eli lost his leg to a bullsquid entering City 17 via a fence.

The 1st one.

The 2nd one was actually comes from the HL2 beta, in which Eli lost his leg to a ‘‘particle storm’’.

White Forest was originally purchased by Black Mesa before the eevnts of Half-Life

Everything else in this thread seems to have been speculation.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
