Hl1 health charger

Ok so in hl1 and in hl2 there are health charger and you go up and charge yourself back to health, my question is, how could we accomplish in making a device like this in real life? and how does it exactly work, does it insert a tube into you and heal you in like a minute? I mean if all people had to do if they were hurt was to push a button to be healed that would be a breakthrough in medical science.

I bet the armor chargers are giving juice to your HEV suit, while the health chargers are giving some kind of pain killer or medicine, (maybe morphium, not sure). Anyway there is a wire (or braid) to connect the charger to your suit. Sounds logic.

But Health- or Armor Charger in real life? Well, first of all you need a secret underground facility with a 50 billion dollar budget to have things like these.

But hey, we alredy have soda machines!

the soda cans each give the player 1hp, so the health chargers apparently inject the player with 75 cans of cola

And its not light.

so the health charger is a diabetes machine, is that what you’re saying?

It injects you with insulin at the same time.

So that means our Gordon has diabetes? :stuck_out_tongue:

amirite

Probably injects you with the “green stuff” from hl2. Or green-stuff-coated nanobots go through your skin (through your finger?)

pro tip:

If you ever got shot, drink alot of soda.

wait a minute! aren’t you the future man? you should know all of this!

OP seems to think he’s smart enough to predict the future, except he obviously doesn’t know much about the present or anything that happened in the past

I am smart enough to predict the future, and I know everything about the present and everything that has happened in the past, I am the most awesome person to ever live and you are not. :3

The Med kits are just bottles of Xen Healing Water

how do you know thats water? it could be Vortigaunt jizz or Houndeye piss.

The Combine Aide Chargers most likely contain a shitload of enzymes that promote rapid healing, or some other sci-fi jargon that sounds dumb to say aloud. I think Gordon can only use them because of his HEV Suit, tho, and only he and Combine Soldiers can use them because the Citizens don’t have a bodysuit that will properly administer the ‘green stuff’.

The Black Mesa Health Stations look to be an emergency case full of First-Aid supplies with a numeric key-pad, the effect in-game is just to simplify the concept.

it does inject you with some sorta green stuff. cause if you look at half life  ecay expansion the health chargers have more detail and you can see the green stuff in a container. i agree with the other guys by saying that the color green probably comes from the combination of soda and insulin lol.

Coca-Cola curing cancer, and disease since 1886

Well, it isn’t “water” because water doesn’t heal wounds or glow. I guess you could say it came from some underground source, which would explain why it never runs out. With that mindset you’d also have to assume the HEV suit for some reason has the ability to suck that water up through it’s boots.

I just wish there was a bit more consistency with color & status effects (hl2: medkits are green, health chargers blue, batteries blue, suit chargers orange) or at least some in-game explanation for why things glow these colors.

You don’t

because it’s a game :hmph:
