and instead of having what looks like a drawer for a chest plate, having two metal orange plates at the chest and back with the AI computer attached to the front chest plate.

I believe that Gordons spectacles play a rather large part in his safety. with alot of shrapnel flying about, he would have lost his eyes a good while back if it where not for them specs. Who needs specsavers when you have specmesas

I have an Idea. Make the armor more metal looking. Also, Give gordon a helmet so the whole hud thing makes sense. Lastly, turning the Armor green because It would look really cool and militaryish.

I think i prefer matt’s arms in terms of looks, but overall I prefer the BM one because it looks more like the original suit mainly

Mattemuse, Personally I like your first proposal. I especially like the idea of protecting the back of the hands with something rigid. I suppose that getting your hand risking being crushed or guillotined by some of the machinery that can be seen in the specimens test room should make them a sensible need. The only thing that would go close to hand armoring on a civil setting are … I guess … butcher’s ringmail gloves and they do nothing against crush hazards.

So … hmm … for what it’s worth, I like the concept

Now, on to some HEV questions that keep riddling me:

1. How does it feel to stealth around while wearing a bright ORANGE suit?
2. How the hell does Gordon manage to SWIM in it?

The current model BMS is using looks perfectly fine to me and pretty what i’d expect from a HL remake. Although Matt’s second sketch looks really cool.

Everyone wants to make this suit high-tech and fancy. Most of my approach with the suit has been to make it feel older, bulkier, lower-tech than the Mark V. That’s how it’s supposed to be.

Tbh the mk V suit looks way less high tech then even the low definition mk IV.

And kliener said the only real changes he made was more comfortable, and adapted to combine chargers. “The mk V suit has been redesigned for comfort and utility.”

Also why hasn’t anybody shown pics of the hd models?

I like the look of those arms the best. The bm ones look too orange even though they’re more similar to the low definition model’s arms.

I like this version of your concept the best. Everything is perfect except the “crystalized” nature of it. Should be much smoother.

Agreed. I think the orange parts should be matte, and the material on the gloves fairly rough.

I personally pefer the original Spacebiker suit. Look at that shit. There’s no way you can possibly succumb to illness/injury/death in such a thick garment.

Notice how much it looks like a hazard suit and not a combat-fart carapace-diddly-poop or some crap like in HL2.

I also prefer the original HEV Head design that was more of a hood than a helmet.
