HEV suit.

Will the HEV suit be upgraded with better graphics because i noticed in the screenshots it was still the same as the old suit.

Dude how do they possibly ressemble each other? Please get your eyes fixed.

IMO get your eyes fixed.

I wasted 20min drawing a HEV arms concept, because I dislike the current BM arms.
In the reference I was looking at, the suit arms have a raised panel over the outer forearm and vents on the inner forearm. In the BM suit, this raised panel has been inverted and placed on the inner forearm and the vents are on the outer forearm. My concept has the original forearm layout with some embelleshments. Also note that scratches are not regularly distributed over the entire arm, but are rather placed in sections of the armor that might be expected to rub up against other parts of the suit or be scratched by regular use.

Feel free to crit my crit, If you flame me hard enough I might be convinced to improve the drawing. If I revisit it, one thing I’d like to do is make it more apparent that the wrist guard rotates separately from the forearm and add some radial scratches to that area,.

I really luv the HEV4 suit arms made by H4wK (fpsbanana)

You do realize it’s just a reskin of hl2 ones?

@mattemuse: halo much?

Really?

I have to say… it does look more attractive than the WIP[/SIZE] arms we’ve seen… but it’s way too chunky and thick…

Is it possible for us to have an exclusive media shot of the current hands? :3

To be honest I prefer mattemuse’s hands, though they look a bit too exagurated, the basic concept is good IMO.

I always thought of the HEV as a sort of semi robotic suit, not an actual cyborg suit, but with metal plates over it for strength, and protection. (Of course this could be protection only, but oh well.)

How you guys can make epic pics like this in just 20 mins :’(

Yeah I know… thats y I use this ones in HL2

The HEV suit is just a Hazmat suit with what seems to be some kind of elecronically charged armour system, life-sign monitoring, injury detection and treatment systems. a hazard detection system, weapon and ammunition detection, and an optical HUD, built in flash light which recharges itself most likely through movement. Includes capacity for modifications such as the long-jump module.

What the fuck? Just keep the original HL concept, even though mattemuse’s hands looks “better”.

IMO my hands are closer to the original HL concept than the current BM hands, as I explained in my previous post. But don’t get your panties in a twist, they aren’t going to change them just because myself and a few other people think it would look better.

We can’t really determinate which concept is closer to the original because of the really low resolution of the HL1’s suit. But, even though your concept is really interesting, I still prefer BM’s one.

For the record I prefer the ones in the existing BM media to matt’s drawing.

If you undid some of the robotism, and take away that vent, then I think that concept would look better.

I like the WIP Black Mesa gloves because they look like they’d be easy to reskin.

I like how mattemuse’s hands leave virtually no room for opening or moving the hand. :retard:

They want you to maintain a firm grip on your gun. I think. :expressionless:
