Help us make an awesome wiki!

The .357 Magnum and the .357 Magnum Bullets pages are missing in the wiki.
When clicked, they redirect you to the 404 page.

It is not a problem of deleted pages, because they still appear in the search or statistics.

Other pages are ok (some which I looked).

EDIT: .50 Cal page too.

EDIT 2: In the Music & Sound page, the wiki is not recognizing the “&” in the title. When clicked it sends to this page.

Hmm… The problem seems to affect only pages with special symbols.

You can still access the Edit page, as well as all the other pages, but I’m not sure how that can help.

I know what the problem is. I just have to get in contact with RM/hubbi. But finding hubbi is like a rare white owl sighting now a days.

All fixed, also fixed another bug I found with image file URLs.

yay regular expressions![COLOR=‘Black’] and by yay i mean FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Added overview to NPC Alignment System page. Also description to the Wiki: Community Portal. Hope u like.

Box and LBox have been updated from tables to better divs and CSS. They should now work better in IE6-7-8 and work pixel for pixel the same in the other browsers. The only major change is the way the height variable (h) is now calculated (I have alteady updated the notice template and I cant think of any others that use it. Please keep an eye out for any pages that might have borked with the recent updates.

The next two things that are going to get a little updating is the timeline and the footer boxes (static and dynamic). Also planning on creating a larger footer box so it can be used for the boxes on the main page (the « Navigation » « Management » « External Links » ones)

EDIT: yay the main page now works in IE7! Also fixed the link bar.

EDIT EDIT: w00t finally finished reprogramming the wiki timeline. This new one gives us more precise control, simpler to update, cleaner/smaller/logically compartmentalized code, and works in IE7/8

Also sry about completely decimating the recently changed list :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it me or is the Timeline line not there?

https://wiki.blackmesasource.com/Time_Line

Looks like it is there to me.

No problem for me either.

I’m still having issues with that line as well. I’m not on my home PC right now, loaded the page from a fresh cache and didn’t get the line. Hitting CTRL+F5 makes the line show, but for some reason returning to the page later causes the line to disappear. It’s done this on 2 different PCs.

Which browser is yours?

(No problem for me. Using Firefox 3.6.6)

Also 3.6.6. Just checked it again. Even though I Ctrl+F5’d it earlier, the timeline is missing again. I had no issues with this before it was altered.

3.6.3 here, no problems.

I dont know what to tell you

Yea thats what i see, but whatever im not on my main computer and it worked on that one :stuck_out_tongue:

Puts on flamesuit It displays fine on IE8 too :retard:

That’s exactly what I see.

Protected page template

Semi-protected page template

:awesome:, FireTime!

You’ve read my mind! Now I just need to write the policy around it (something like the stub policy). My laziness was delaying it until now… I’ll be very glad if someone could help me to write it. Suggestions are very appreciated too.

My (rough) idea about the policy is:

  • Protected template for fully protected pages, like the DevBlog, which only admins can edit.
  • And Semi-protected template for pages which only old wiki members can edit, or a finite protection expiration time is given to the page. The BM wiki already prevents edition by unregistered users, so I’m still unsure if the semi-protected mode is really necessary (other wikis use the semi mode for editions by registered users only).

When the policy is done, the padlocks icons will replace the need for the big-orange-notice-boxes saying “It is protected! Get out!!!” and will save space in the page.

My inspiration came from the Wikipedia and OverWiki policies.

Yet I’m not set on stone if the icons will create an automatic category link in the header for protected/semi-protected pages, like happens in the stub pages.

What do you think, guys?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
