Help us make an awesome wiki!

the one thing that semi protected pages will block is new users (non auto confirmed) from editing pages.

So semi protected is only used in places where we want to stop new users from editing or prevent spamming (most spam is posted from accounts created a few minutes ago).

EDIT: well currently the auto confirmed requirements is set to 0 so all users are auto confirmed. Might have to talk to some one about that.

I see. So the semi mode is really useful. I’m testing it now in the main page to see how it goes.

That adjustment in the autoconfirmed requirements will be nice against defacing trolls.
[COLOR=‘DimGray’](rm249? Hubi? We need you here… hehe)

Ok, it’s now implemented. Users now have to wait for a set period of time and make a set number of edits before they are auto confirmed, and thus have the ability to edit semi protected pages.

EDIT: I created protectionabout” pages. That is where we can list the stipulations for locking.

Tried it. It failed. Forced refresh on that page, then the timeline page immediately after. left… came back. same result.

I don’t know what to tell you. I have test it personally on FF IE7,8,9 Chrome Opera Safari, Tested again with all of those browsers on my laptop, a few more browser on another work laptop, had several other users (including rm249) try it, used browsershots.org and I even loaded the site through a few proxies to make sure my ISP isn’t cashing.

Well, I’m trying one last possibility in a vain attempt at fixing this. I’ve deleted my entire browser cache as well as my cookies. Now hopefully it will have some effect on this. If not, I’m lost.

Edit: Well son of a bitch. It fixed nothing.

Reinstall your browser then. :freeman:

Hell no. :3

If this doesn’t do it, format C: !

Seriously, as I understand the problem is only for 1 person on only 1 certain computer. It doesn’t seem too big of a deal…

2 certain computers, as I stated before.
Both using the same ISP though, so perhaps there’s an issue there.

:fffuuu::fffuuu:

BM’s (dev)elopement sure was chaotic :retard:

@Deathmonkey7 your ISP is cashing the style sheet. They do that for high traffic websites. seeing as that is the only css file that dosent have cache prevention that is most likely your problem.

@popsUlfr :stuck_out_tongue:

haha! that is awesome!

Conti! preliminarily popup boxes activate!! just click on the locks now.

You’re quick…I realized my mistake very quickly and corrected it.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
