Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

Are you sure about that? I thought it was only illegal if you distribute for profit.

Suddenly piracy is no longer an issue.
We’re only allowed to use what comes with the SDK/Black Mesa/Whatever we create ourselves.

Well I’m still up to voice act, if you find me good enough for it…

Maybe, that depends. It’s not really a priority right now though.

What we really do need though, in order or importance, are texture artists, a choreographer, and a writer… Especially the texture artist. That’s extremely important.

I may not have had any hand in the mod so far, but if you need a writer, I can take a crack at that. Got a lot of free time I could be using for something worthwhile, might as well be this.

Yes, get on me about making a Half-Life joke on a Half-Life related forum.

You’re UC joke was hard to catch. I wasn’t even sure of it because it didn’t make sense here.

EDIT: nvm

Shameless bump, but to everyone on the team, let’s celebrate a very Merry Alpha-mas with some new screenshots! I have a whole bunch of release screenshot candidates lined up in my dky.tehkingd.u/screenies dropbox folder. Vote for your favorite five screenshots and get back to me ASAP so I can upload them to the ModDB page.

Let’s go go go B)

EDIT:

Quote from Crypt on Skype:

EDIT2:

For everyone who actually reads this thread, if you haven’t figured it out already, we’ve gotten to the stage where the entire course is playable from start to finish (excluding the intro tram ride for now though, due to odd circumstances).

This means we need some testers. We’ve previously said that we’d let you all know when we get to the testing stage, and this is it. Though not everyone follows this mod of a mod anymore, I think it’s important to have a good pool of testers.

This is an early closed alpha though, which means that we’re going to limit testing to a small number of people. Over time we’ll let more people in, but for now we want to start small. To do that though, we still need to know who’s up for it.

Let’s be clear what a tester will and will not do.

A tester will:

  • Report bugs, glitches, and exploits.
  • State what he/she likes.
  • State what he/she does not like.
  • State what he/she would like.
  • Repeatedly play through, even if he/she gets bored of it.
  • Test builds upon request, and report thoroughly on it when told to.

A tester will NOT:

  • Demand anything from the developers.
  • Shamelessly criticize the mod non-constructively.
  • Invite other people to test.
  • Distribute the mod assets.
  • Play through a few times just for fun and then stop all involvement.
  • Refuse to test.

Aight. Open the floodgates. Anyone interested? B)

Oooh, ooh, ooh! Can I be an Alpha tester? Pleaaase?

No.

:frowning:

I am!

And I feel a disturbance in the Force! :fffuuu:

You should post this on ModDB, along with new screenshots.

oh I would like to test this.

We won’t do that until we vote for the screenshots.

I’m not going to post all of them.

Play through something over and over looking for every potential flaw until I get sick of it?
Where do I sign up?

Even AFTER you get sick of it.

Just like real game testers!
In all seriousness though, I’m up for it. School year is winding down and testing the Hazard Course 40+ times a week would at least give me something to do.

Well I know what we are up too, tested alot of official games and mods in the past!

I get only sick of posting bugs not getting fixed, even long after release, but not testing something over and over and over and … again…

It’s a challenge for me to report bugs and search after them (and fixed bugs of others) again in a next release
