Hazard Course Remake (AVAILABLE NOW!)

“Welcome…to the Hazard Course. It’s safer here.” --Breen (or a reasonable facsimile thereof)

Nah if you center every shot, make this happen:

Scientist Observer: impressed tone Well well, I think he just beat your score, 'ey Ronny?
Security Observer: jealous / annoyed tone Yeah right. I could do that too if my vest had a built in targeting system :meh:
Gordon Freeman: :freeman:

That depends on the story direction we decide to take with the Hazard Course. But we’ll try and figure it all out.

So many possibilities!

Best line.

This is not really important, but when are you gonna update the OP?
When they enter this thread via the wiki, or any other source the first thing they’ll meet is outdated media.

It’ll be updated as soon as Dky quits being such a lazy bum.

That means its gonna take a while :stuck_out_tongue: .
EDIT:I’m dead wrong here.

Unusualness happened today. It is one for the books.

Kinda makes you wonder how the hell he gets in and out of that thing. I don’t see a zipper or anything!

^Good point. Does he magically teleport into it or something? I have always questioned that.

What you don’t see is that Gordon has a toddler-sized body under his normal sized head.

I don’t think it’ll ever matter how Gordon got into the suit.It would make more sense if it had animations though, since the HEV suit is only acquired during at points where the story has been developed itself yet.

I’m imagining it’s like a firefighters setup, except that the armored front part comes off, and then goes back on when you’ve got all your limbs in.
This is, of course, pure speculation.

how the hell does Issac Clarke get into all of his suits.
How does the store manage to 3d print him exact copies of his crap every time he wants to change into some fresh pajamas.

In Dead Space 3, they show him grabbing a suit off the rack and climbing right in, despite wearing jeans and a heavy leather jacket that already has a big ass fucking RIG glued to the back of it. They pan the camera up so it looks more vague but I don’t think anyone bought it.

This bugs me more than the idea of some rusty phone booth with a dry cleaning conveyor rack inside that microwaves you for 3 seconds and suddenly you have a crapload of extra brass welded to you.

On the topic of Gordon and the HEV suit:

Remember Dr. Kleiner mentioning that the suit “still suits you like a glove, at least the glove parts do”?

I imagine it’s a little bit like a bulletproof vest/gloves/trousers/helmet set up.

With the “vest” thing not being really a vest, rather than a T-shirt-ey shape and gloves about all the way to the elbows.

It being in parts would make sense. May not stand up on it’s own, though.
But we never have to see him, putting it on, so no reason making a huge deal of taking it off.

What if there’s an observation window at/near the HEV Silo and Kleiner can be seen. Just a suggestion.
or maybe “still suits you like a glove, at least the glove parts do” is just in his mind when he saw you but took Eli’s broken equipment as a priority first.

I always imagined that when you put on your suit, there’s actually a 10 minute gap where you’re just sitting there clicking the parts together around your body.

An observation window in the silo would be a bit burdensome to work in from technical and aesthetic standpoints, IMO, but Kleiner appearing in observation areas is planned*.

Missed it by 1k…
And it by 39,663.
But who cares! I haz 41k.

Dropbox’d a rough texture pass on Dky’s basmove02. Still a long ways to go, but it’s a start. I’m kind of iffy on the scheme, though.
