Alrighty, then. It’s not high priority, but we might get around to it closer towards the end of development.
Heh, yeah. Higher-res source image compared to the original too, screencapped straight from one of my DVDs.
As has been stated, Commentary would be interesting to do, but we’ll have to wait until everything else is off the ground and see if we have enough things to talk about to make it worth doing. I can think of one or two things I might be able to comment(ary) on, but not much more than that.
So Crypt just sent me this and I thought it would be worth sharing due to the official Open-Development Policy.

We’re making progress. I love life.
Certainly looks more like an actual building people work in.
One suggestion, get rid of those three floor tiles.
Holy fuck.
Why’s that? It seems reasonable. Black Mesa has a bunch of it scattered around the place.
I know, and it always seemed illogical to me. They’re not broken, so why doesn’t someone put it in their place?
But then nobody would know that they’re detached! :awesome:
Nah, you’re right. It’s completely illogical. But it looks cool, IMO.
Some people can be so lazy they can’t even kick them in their place.
That said, this looks awesome. Seriously. You guys should see if Valve has open job opportunities, but I think there’s going to be a tight entry chance, with BMS core and all…
Well, Crypt should, anyway.
That is some amazing work right there.
Heh, without Black Mesa’s (and Lars’!) models and textures this would be a brush-based mess.
But I’m glad you guys like it so far!
This pretty much. It’s actually come up a few times with other people.
You could just have them sitting partially detached, like this:
Virtually no hammer experience and I can still loose tile.
FFS, does it really matter so much?
If it’s an improvement then it doesn’t hurt anything.
If it’s gonna stick out like that, then at least rotate them to stick out diagonally.
It’s a pretty much a warehouse people. Tons of them have missing/broken chunks of the floor, and no one cares to fix them up. It’s fine broken.
Also, it’s a game and it looks neat.
Point. It doesn’t have to be 100 percent realistic and logical, as long as you have fun.
A good game doesn’t lack plotholes. It just makes you enjoy it so much that it’s virtually impossible to see the plotholes until you play it for the Xth time. That, and the plotholes are kinda small.
