You know, I’ve always found the first room to be pretty empty and boring for what it is.

There’s gotta be a way to fix that… Hmm…

All of them, actually. It just seems monotonous for some reason. The tram station generally doesn’t have that issue.

I guess it’s not really a priority, just a minor comment. It doesn’t need to be discussed at the conference.

I pretty much agree with that, since I couldnt think of something for the first room…I mean what purpose could it used to have?Was it a storage, or just an empty room…

Doesn’t need a purpose. Just needs some interesting decoration to break the monotony.

Again, though… not quite a priority for now.

I’d toss some extra rooms in, maybe some misc. hallways that may or may not be accessible to the player, junk like that. Emphasize the “you went from the clean and busy area to the old and dirty ones” look.

I’m not sure if that’s the best idea. I was thinking more of an architectural direction (columns at the walls, supports, etc) rather than an inaccessible room direction.

We’ll see what happens.

I’ve also been considering that, but the thing is I don’t really got an architectural vision.Which is the main reason I want an concept artist :meh:

I’m in a similar boat with that one.
But it depends on how close we’re gonna be sticking to the lab theme in that area. If we want it to blend seamlessly with Black Mesa then we wouldn’t want to stray to far from their themes and direction.

It’s a repurposed industrial complex with chambers that used to be used as missile silos or at the very least some sort of storage.

It’s not like we don’t have some sort of vision to work with, however vague. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been thinking about a lab theme for it (to stick with the original), but since Sector A is an unmaintaned used missile silo, I’m having my doubts.
Its a lab theme at the moment.
Also coming back to the concept artist topic, did anyone mail Juan Noveletto yet?
His work seems good, but he got a lot of outdoor concept.
