Yepyep. I made one some months so it’s not totally up to date, but it’s close.

I don’t know about that. The old image is loading just fine while the new one is saying that it has redirect loops (I’m using Google Chrome btw). Edit: Never mind. It’s working now.

If I might provide a suggestion. In that shot in the sewer with the radioactive liquid, where the two sewer pipes meet looks rather odd. At the corner, it looks like the textures are being mirrored. If I might suggest that where the pipe walls meet, to have something that separates them, such as a railing or some sort of metal band. There appears to be something similar with those outcroppings on both pipe directions. Maybe have those outcroppings be the cut-off point and have a single brush between them to get rid of the mirroring effect?

Thinking about when Gina hologram is demonstrating to the player what to do.

Similar to the security cameras that track you could have a holographic projector that tracks gina with a dynamic light source or even sprite… Actually I think that would be real tricky even scripted and not tracking gina npc. But it’s perhaps worth a quick test for sake of it.

That is a moving head mac 500 lighting fixture rotate and tilt on the arms I suppose it could be moddeld off of sentry guns.

Our moving projectors were finished before the static one, actually. It’s not quite the same as what you posted, but I feel like it will work for our purposes (for example, when Gina demonstrates a movement).

When u have an open room/field i’s perfect possible, but I still think u need more than one projector, cause sometimes there is an obstruction and when u project her on something, u loose some of her

Sprite shaft of light was what I was thinking as it’s cheaper… And urrgh not sure how the model works for stuff like sentry guns or ceiling mounted sentry turrets but mimic how they work for the “point at” gina inputs and outputs. Killing it once the demo animation is done.

Glad you like the idea but I will totally understand if you think it would be too tricky to pull off as I said it somewhat unsure how to execute it.

Given the hazard course is set in a run down area of the complex, isnt this kinda a good thing?

Interesting… Great to see that you guys are willing on putting that much thought and detail into even the smallest aspects of maps. Now, sorry if I’m interrupting a particular train of thought, but earlier you mentioned making the HC integrate with and enhance the story. How liberal, exactly, were you in adding story content? Anything that’s like, new and original to the canon? Sorry, not meaning to be an insulting purist or anything. Just curious.

Anyway, we’re just trying to add some bits for it to seem a little bit like a prologue to the main game. If you notice, the original HL’s HC was a simple training level. Just some pretty rooms with instructions. The PS2 version added an introduction to make it seem more grounded in universe (as opposed to solely existing for training purposes). And we wanna take that a little bit further, with an outro and expanded intro, and even an attempt to make the Hazard Course’s origins more clear.

We’re all avid HL fans, so we don’t want to meddle with canon too much, but obviously we can’t be completely grounded what’s known if we want to do anything more than the original PS2 intro. We clearly don’t want to mess with anything already regarded as fact/established canon, so don’t worry about that. We even went so far as to ask Half-Life’s writer when the Hazard Course actually happened. :slight_smile:
