I looked at the system requirements and my old box doesn’t cut it.
Can someone recommend a graphics card for around $150?
How about a Processor, Mobo, Ram, combo under $300?
I’d like to spend a lot less since this upgrade will probably be only for playing Black Mesa for now.

Anyway, I don’t have much experience buying parts, but I doubt you’ll be able to get all of that for under $450, especially of high quality. But when in doubt, Newegg.
My advice: when in doubt, Craigslist. There are some incredible deals on there for those that know how to negotiate

Further advice here: Have common sense. Make them show you everything works. Also it’s not a terrible idea to crack to case open and have a look. You wouldn’t believe the stuff you can find in these things, from roaches to joints.
