That didn’t make much sense…
“The” Borealis refers to the ship called “Borealis”, not to a beta level with an empty ship

Because the Combine are warm, loving entities that don’t want you to be scared at all.
It’s the same ship, and also, the Borealis that’s going to appear in Ep. 3 will be The Borealis because it will actually be in the game and not some cut beta level.

Yeah because the anon leak and raising the bar were definitely the only things out there. :^/
Face it I know more about the beta than you do.
Anyway that whole sequence of the original teleport scene is on my channel, you should watch it and educate yourself.
They don’t even do anything. They’re coded to shoot lasers at you, which they only do in episode 1, beyond that, they just stand around and make fart noises.
I like how in missing information, they’re fucking pissed.
Ok, I overlooked the part where Kleiner dies. But that doesn’t make it a good idea. When you introduce a character, and you only get a few lines of dialogue out of him before you kill him off is just shitty writing. It’s random and pointless.
Asside from the Anon/Russian leak, raising the bar, and the WC Map pack, what other sources are there?
I actually do. Just redesigned and repurposed.
Yes, I’d love to see that thing. I pictured in my mind already how it could fit in. They’re in the Arctic, right? Well, it could be called something like the Icebreaker, using its plasma cannon to - what else? - melt ice. I think that sounds plausible.
I really just want to use the immolator… Sprayin plasma/ liquid/ whatthefuckever at people and watching them dissolve P:
The creamator looks cool too…
I’d love to shoot that thing in it’s lopsided psychonauts head.
I’ve watched that before, and good lord it’s long-winded, wordy and dull. If it’s a good sample, then the one thing you can definitely say about the ‘beta storyline’ is that it was way overwritten, and Valve did a great job paring it down the minimalist awesomess that it eventually became.
The video footage of Half-Life 2 at E3 2003.
This may be another iteration of the story than the one you’re talking about, but I’m pretty sure that Alyx was supposed to die in a plane crash.
And how could a head in a jar brutally murder someone? :fffuuu:
He fell down from a shelf and hit her on a weak spot in the back of her head.
He wasn’t a head in a jar, he was a head attatched to a…metal thing…at the end of a robot tentacle…
The beta is so fucking awsome…reguardless of the drawn out speech.
Well in the one I was talking about it was the motivation for you to kill breen. shrugs
Anyway the e3 demos are in the leak too, but it makes you realize that they’re very scripted.
Figures.
Shephard.
Minus the ‘Super Elite’. Because, if he were the enemy, then VALVe can make another game (like OF) where you take control of Shephard. Which, because you are a human, will make the Shephard in the main game seem like a Super Elite Soldier… because it isnt mindless code working the guy (technically).
This makes sense in my head… so… lets pretend we’re all there for now.
intoooblivion and dias… i have to say… its been a while since a forum has made me cry from laughter.
Thank you.
Also, Alyx didn’t die in the plane crash, but she was hurt rather badly.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
