This is actually pretty neat. Great for people who all need a little more Gordon in their lives.
I miss using an actual DreamCast.
I know it’s just Half-Life, but running an emulator for anything above a PlayStation 1 just gonna run like crap for me.
I went through it to the end of Unforeseen Consequences and, as of yet, I haven’t seen anything of interest…only an additional line from one of the scientists that lets you into the test chamber and an additional line on the chapter titles (which were a bit silly).
Hmm, slightly tempted to try this!
I have HL Generation, so pre-steam edition - is it possible to get it working? Somebody used my cdkey from it on steam (what?!) so i couldn’t use steam version.
I got it working on v1.1.1.0, at least I think it was working, I got to the test chamber then got bored and closed it, everything seemed the same, except the line daniel mentioned, when the scientist says “in the test chamberrrrrr” another guy sitting down says something new but he was talking over him so I couldn’t hear it.
Actually, the new line was right before the one scientist says, “Gordon doesn’t need to hear all this, he’s a highly trained professional.”
Well, a door didn’t open on inbound, and I got stuck… then I loaded up unforeseen consequences and it crashed half way through. I guess I’ll try reinstalling later.
I haven’t played HL1 all the way through in a while. I’ll give this a shot.
It’s not an ISO that needs an emulator, it’s a mod that ports the Dreamcast content to the PC game.

What the fuck is the point of this mod if it can’t be played on an emulator or the console itself?
I think the idea of a port of a port is kinda funny. The novelty just may have been worth it.
The fact that it’s an unreleased port is a plus.

Also, is it just me, or are they using low res skins on the HD models? Too lazy to check myself.
Dreamcast models are like halfway between HD and original models. They’re not either.
And their textures are worse than vanilla HL1 :fffuuu:
