Half-Life 3 to be at GamesCon

at gamescon:AND NOW VALVE REVEALS THE EXCITING NEW INSTALLMENT OF THE BEST SINGLE PLAYER GAME,LOVED BY MILLIONS!..RICOCHET 2! fans kill gabe

It’d be funny if the reveal began with a really involved trailer for Ricochet 2 suddenly getting shot full of holes from what sounds like Alyx’s gun, then the sound of the gravity gun suddenly lifting the screen playing the trailer up and being carted off to be reveal a massive blizzard and the image of a burning helicopter crashed into a snowdrift barely visible through the white-out conditions. It ends with the sound of the gravity gun punting and the screen showing the trailer for Ricochet 2 getting lodged into a snowdrift.

I follow the policy that until I see it for sale in the Steam Store, it’s all just speculation. I don’t care how ‘official’ the announcement is.

sigh

[all hopes secretly dashed]

I’m so confident that this is the real deal, that I’m going to start playing Half Life again from beginning to end. I don’t get too much gaming time each day, so maybe by the time I get to the end of Ep2, I’ll be able to roll right into HALF LIFE 3.[/SIZE]

You’ve inspired me.
Time to replay the series.

1 Minute of gameplay each day

i just checked the list half-life 3 is out.

Gamescon said that the inclusion of HL3 and Dragon Age 3 was a mistake. Valve deines the announcement and said that they will reveal no games.

That’s too bad.

Option 1: HL3 is real and will be announced in GamesCom 2012. Removing it from the list and saying it was a mistake + saying that they won’t show any games was just to build up for a surprise.

Option 2: HL3 is real but wont be announced this year and all the things were a mistake made by GameCom.

Option 3: HL3 is not real.

2 gud 4 tru

Fuck.

Also op, why name the thread “Half-Life 3 to be at GamesCom” without concrete info from Valve

Got my hopes up

Can’t blame him. The early news stories were based on the GamesCon agenda card. It was only after the news broke that GamesCon said it was a mistake - about 40 minutes after he made the thread.

I hope this is true but I’m not holding my breath.

It’s not

I just wish all this stuff would stop so I can wait for it in peace.

It won’t.

Valve’s name has been taken off the list. It was clearly a troll.

Valve trolling it’s fans?.. Never!

I’m glad I can breathe finally.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
