and that portal gun to come from where? , from the ending of portal the timeline of it seems close to present… [ the outside ]

the only picture of “outside” we get during the events of portal is about a minutes worth… that wasnt enough to tell me that Portal and HL2 take place at the same time… but it also isnt enough to say that its not… but still even if portal ends at 200x thats 20+ years and there are probably lots of portal tech around

…Just my opinion here, Eli mentions that the Aperture science shit, the borealus(idk how to spell leave me alone) has disapeared and reapeared… that leads me to believe that Eli knows about the facility but no one knows about the events of portal and the mass Neurotoxin massacre… maby because it didnt happen yet

I really doubt Portal took place at the same time as HL2. This is just my opnionnionn but whatever. When we defeat Glados and are taken outside, it just looks to normal outside. The facility looks too clean and the world looks beautiful. Not a place that it post-invasion.

I wouldn’t bet on the Portal gun appearing in Ep3, at least not in Gordon’s hands. But with the Borealis being owned by Aperture Science and with the Black Mesa and HL teases in Portal I’d be very surprised if the Portal technology doesn’t feature in Ep3 in some capacity.

Having a Glados on board would be interesting, integrating that dark Portal humor into the HL environment. Although she would most likely be thawed out by Combine forces, only to be sprayed by a deadly neurotoxin when she wakes up.

well i’m guessing that the reason behind the fact that the combine ARE there but they still don’t have the technology is because the thing that made the borealis disappear is guarding it , maybe IT is IT …
