If they could match Rage’s npc hit reactions… well that would be the best.
I´d prefer more human gibs after some explotion …in HL 2 it had just frew the whole body away…character body should be torn apart …like in HL 1, but more realistic
I’d like to see Fallout 3 style gibs, where instead of just turning into blots of red, the gibs are actually limbs or something flying off the character.
The Fallout 3 gibs were actually pretty bad, though. At least in my opinion.
I’d like to see something like L4D2. Delicious.
Yup! Thems is the the gibs I wants.
I enjoyed Fallout 3’s gib system, and wouldn’t mind if Valve did something like that for HL3. Make it a bit more dynamic like they did in L4D2, and there you go.
Maxey, it’s a good thing this thread is about Black Mesa and not Half-Life 3. :retard:
d’oh
I’m sure they can do that, they just need to do some dev work better, I saw the NPCs in Postal 3 ( which runs on source) we’re able to take cover and even shoot at you from behind cover, something like that might add some cool depth of strategy to the game
My perfect NPC would not only have body parts able to be blown off, but also go into certain animations depending on where they are hit, until they are actually dead, in which case they become ragdolls.
That is unless they have explosions killing them, in which case have them torn apart/blown apart in a more realistic version of HL1 style gibbing.
It isn’t necessary, and I’m yet to find a game that does it all, but it’d be kewl no doubt.
Postal 3 runs on Source :fffuuu: ?
Postal 3 runs? :fffuuu:
Yes and just recently yes.
But yeah, I want l4d2 style gibs in HL3. Maybe a not as overstated. A shotgun in HL doesn’t seem like it’d do the damage a shotgun in l4d2 does.
OK I don’t know about anyone else here…
But does anyone else want to see Beta HL2 content in HL3?
Or Beta HL1 content???
No. It’s beta for a reason.
like i said earlier, gluon gun should be involved…but more improved, in HL 1 it looked to me like it was a prototype (like Tau cannon)
Unless they do find a way to get the Cremator in, then the gluon gun AND the immolator would be redundant. ofc if given the choice I’d choose the gluon, but the immolator seems more likely with where the story seems to be going.
Yeah. Borealis? Horrible idea. Glad they abandoned it.
I guess you’ve never fired an smg contact grenade at 3-dozen headcrabs. :3

Everyone could observe that “3” in the backround?
