ah well. no big deal. still one of the greatest games of all the time. I have, however been looking into the cinematic mod. the lite version without the replaced npc models and just new textures and a few other models and environmental differences looks interesting. however, the download is about 10 gigs and I really don’t want to waste that bandwith on something I don’t want. still no big deal. I already have too many games to play.
I have CM10 lite and it’s worth it!
They made the textures have that weird gritty bump overlay in the 360 version, is that there?
SON OF A… I literally JUST played through HL2 on hard… now you’re telling me to get these new achievements I have to play thru it all again already?? Bluh. Good thing it’s such a good game, lol…
Good time to uninstall that mod and free up some disk space.
Yeah, it makes them look a little better up close, but the old low-res textures are still there underneath. =/
Also, I noticed the Dr. Breen not being able to stand and the vortigaunt not charging glitches as well.

If hl2 and ep1 are using the same engine as ep2, would it be possible the the flashlight using aux power is something that is configurable?
Is there any way to undo this update? I would sort of like to play my source mods again. 
Mods are broken?
The Vortigaunt does charge, he just only charges you up to 30 suit power, so if you have more than that it doesn’t have any effect. This is because the one in Episode 2 can only charge you to a maximum of 30, too.
But yeah, hopefully they’ll fix all these little issues.

My fault. I experimentated with alyx’s materials from cinematic mod.
I got the changed breen animation, he was just sitting turned to the monitor in his chair. Glitches slightly in his movement when he turns his head to you as well.

Don’t you need to edit the actual maps to include HDR? Wouldn’t you then have to redownload all the maps in order to get HDR?
Maybe they did include HDR, but only if you manually redownload the game, in order not to force a massive download on everyone.
