Will you be using Spirit?

I recomend 1.5a4, because it’s the latest official version with source code available.

Yes it was a joke, because I didn’t have much else to go on! That does seem pretty cool, I might have a look at it when I get the chance. Does 1.7 not come with the source code? It looks like it does.

It’s an unofficial build based off of 1.2 (I believe) And as such has a lot of features missing compared to 1.5a4.
It’s got some features not in 1.5a4, but it’s probably a better idea to go with 1.5a4 for this, because it’s more stable and there’s no silencer for the USP in HL2, nor do you get weapons before you don the HEV suit, so there’s no need for the ‘two hands’ feature.

Yeah, and it looks like crap. I should know, because that’s as far as my computer can handle. And this makes me sad when I see the beautiful screens of the mod.

* Able to create levels using Valve's tools for the GoldSrc engine
* Able to apply textures generated by our texture artists
* Capable of conforming to standards
* Able to create optimized levels
* Able to use entities created by our programmers

Weapon / NPC Programmers

* Familiar with the GoldSrc engine
* Knows how to create entities
* Experienced in AI programming

Mod Programmers

* Very familiar with the GoldSrc engine
* Knows how to create entities
* Experienced in engine programming
* Capable of modifying game-code
* May be required to implement a rough physics engine

3D Modelers

* Familiar with the GoldSrc engine
* Able to apply textures generated by our texture artists
* Able to create models usable in the GoldSrc engine
* Able to rig and or animate is a plus

Texture Artists

* Familiar with the GoldSrc engine
* Able to create textures usable for models and or levels
* Capable of accepting that we are looking for low-res HL1-style textures
* Can reproduce textures by eye

Concept Artists

* Familiar with the GoldSrc engine
* Fan of Half-Life
* Can go through Half-Life 2 levels and create "dumbed down" designs based on them

Hey guys, just letting you know a few years ago I had a team working on a mod called beyond Half-life. The mod was a recreation of the HL2 Beta storyline in Goldsrc and we worked on it for about 2 years. I had a team of about 12 people and we had created some really amazing stuff. The mod was in alpha when it died but we made some awsome content and our coder (the guy behind Arrangement, Sysop) did some amazing things.

But it died sadly, now it is all but wiped for the Internets, I think the only existing remanents remain on the old Invasion 106 page which was pre-beyond https://www.moddb.com/mods/invasion-106

But the screenies in there were in no way as good as what we had. Hopefully I can find some of my old stuff for you guys. But maybe I can be persuaded to join. I can Model, Map Script and do just about anything in Spirit (as that is what we used untill we got our coder) I could make some stuff for you guys if you would like. I can make just about anything in Goldsrc.
