Half-Life 1997 Alpha Preview Build Released

where do I type it in?

I downloaded this link and can’t seem to find any of the dll files, was this download corrupt or am I just doin it wrong?

Oh, crap. That was my fault, my apologies. THIS one should be fine, just checked and uploaded. https://www.mediafire.com/?rmryvgbd8e5b7l0

HA!

I was like: “hmm, seems too small in size” :3

Yeah, first time I downloaded it was corrupt and all the DLLs were missing. Guess I forgot to delete the corrupted zip and upped that. Whoops, your time has been wasted.

Yeah I was screwing around with key bindings and pressing a bunch of keys, so yeah that must have happened, because when I first played it, the brightness was fine.

NPCs enter earlier at this. Even reveals where gman walks in the final game (OC). G-man is not really like an alien or like a wierd man that time. They first made him like a government man that runs when shot like scientists. They think it suck so they try to remake the story everytime they change something very huge like Barney and Gman’s AI

MP works

Awesome, anyone up for a match?

What map is Office Complex?

EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

So what about BlackMesa: Alpha?

Don’t talk about that here. Bad manners.

I got banned once for that.

I honestly don’t think it’s really an issue anymore, now that BM has been released.

But the BM alpha has the cadence of a typical HL2 mod which brings down it’s cool factor 10 fold. Then again, this feels a lot like a typical quake mod…

Alpha version of Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar

FINALLY.

I’ve done what Valvetime advised to do in order to play. I’m able to start it, but something’s still not right. The graphics on the menu and game break down into technicolor line shades, and I have no idea what’s the problem. I’m just playing it on a Windows XP Lenovo, so there is there something else that I need to do in order to keep the alpha from going crazy on me?

That is so fucking awesome it’s not even funny. THANK YOU FONG.

Fellow scientists, I really need help! The alpha’s not playing clearly! Direct me to an expert! Anyone! I must play this Alpha without weird visual interfererence!

(Yes, I did delete the Open Gl file like I was supposed to. The game starts, but it has the visual fuzz).

There must be someone who could help!
