Can’t tell if Valvetime advertising… or
It’s legit. It’s pretty much a tech demo of all the improvements and changes they made to the quake engine up to that point.
There’s even a Metal Gear in there.
It is quite buggy tho.
awesome
press 1 for flashlight
mousewheel button to spray tag
press 9 for funky tune
instead of E the activate button is B
There’s none of those old music mixes are there?
playdemo c1a1 is interesting
very
So the singleplayer is a deathmatch map? Unless I’m doing something wrong
the doom1 menu is just a placeholder, in console “map c1a1” is the start of the real singleplayer
Thanks, figured as much by now. But, if the final product was supposed to be more or less this, then no wonders they had it scrapped.
No crouch button? T_T Also most scripts appear to be broken or something.
There’s a crouch button. Check the controls on the options menu or the cfg files.
Weird, I don’t see it there, also pressed every single key and nothing happened.
ctrl is crouch just like retail
anyway I played through it an successfuly got bored of it
go in console, bind “+duck”
This version really feels like a quake mod
especially considering the menu is the same with the font and pictures replaced
It wasn’t scrapped it was just placeholder I mean ffs come on
Thought this is from before they decided to take another year and rework the whole game cause it sucked.
I couldn’t see my weapons lol. Got bored of it after like five minutes. That extra year they took after this really paid off.
Look at the Readme file. “z - make gun visible”
You should also read the walkthrough. It’s some neat shit. “Portal Device” sounds oh so… familiar.
Yes, it’s in the link in the first post.
You’d think Chuck Norris wouldn’t even need to ask that in the first place. In fact, Chuck Norris would be already be playing it without asking questions at all.
He would be able to play without the required files.
