Half Life 1 glitches

I have a few problems in Half-Life 1.

I got the disk version (before STEAM.)

First off, when I pause the game, instead of going to the menu screen like it should, my screen turns black until I unpause it.
Next, when the houndeyes do their attack, there is no shockwave for it, just the sound.
Lastly, none of the music plays, I have the music set to full volume but it wont play.

I hope you guys can help.

protip: avoid using pirated software.

Reinstall it?

protip: you’re a fag. Won hl ftfw and it’s perfectly legit.

To pause are you pressing pause/break or esc?
Do you have the pak0.pak? Do you have custom models etc installed?
And for the music to work you have to have the disc put in, or you can actually put any music cd in and it’ll play it. (found that out the hard way when my little bro had some gay ass kiddy music cd in the tray and it played from that)

Your a fucking douche. Did I say a thing about WON?

Its perfectly legit. Not pirated.

I use Esc to pause.
I can’t find any pak0.pak.
No custom models installed.
And I always play with the disk in. It wont play with it out.

Put your CD key into steam and get the steam version. If it’s legit, it’ll work, and you can get 5 or 6 games with it for free.

But the WON version is badass…

That should’ve been said in OP in the first place.
And yeah, go get your steam account and type in the SN

ITT: ODB doesn’t read

Case in Point:

activating the won version on steam doesn’t work everytime.

That’s a bit rich, coming from you, my dear.

Intarweb nubfight.
Please go on. It’s amusing.

Tried activating it on STEAM, didn’t work.

:smiley:

oops

What the fuck are you so happy about? :freeman:

[COLOR=‘Red’]Calm the fuck down bitches.

And ODB, since when does someone have to specifically state that they’re not using pirate software to stop you from assuming that they are? Guilty until proven innocent, much?

I interpret :smiley: as laughing, not smiling a lot (although they aren’t mutually exclusive)

[COLOR=‘Red’]Topic or GTFO.

I had to buy a new HL.
I couldn’t activate my old HL, too.
Now I have 2 Half-Lifes so I have a full-life… haha :expressionless:
