I have recently bought a Nvidia gtx 460 and plugged it into my computer. The computer turns on and everything seems to be running. The fan on the card is running but there is no display on my screen.

You plug the monitor into the GPU not the mobo? :retard:
Hey, it was worth checking
Did you make sure to attach the 6-pin PCI-E power connector?
Yes… The graphics card seems to turn on(the fan is rotating)
Make sure you BOOT the computer with the monitor plugged in the card… sometimes if it detects a monitor on the mobo’s display when it boots, it won’t bother using the video card. It sounds like it’s what you done, but just in case.
I have the monitor plugged into the graphics card directly
Turn on the monitor :retard:
try resetting the bios… clear cmos
Could be a dead GPU, if possible try it on another computer.
Maybe your power supply isn’t powerful enough.
maybe you forgot to disable the onboard GPU, if your board has one.
Do you actually have a complete computer? How do we know you’re not just sitting there with a video card, power supply, and a monitor?
He posted what mobo he has and NO it does not have on board video, so that is out of the question.
What are the specs for your whole computer?
And what video card did you used to have in it?
did you check if the gfx card is properly plugged into the pci-e slot?
Is your power supply providing enough power on the rails?
yeah, you need at least 18A per rail
No, he needs 1.21 gigawatts.
eternallness, its nvidia, so its obviously broken right?
plug your monitor to the mobo, and install drivers for the gpu. reboot, and plug the monitor in the gpu.
