I have recently bought a Nvidia gtx 460 and plugged it into my computer. The computer turns on and everything seems to be running. The fan on the card is running but there is no display on my screen.

Did you make sure to attach the 6-pin PCI-E power connector?
Yes… The graphics card seems to turn on(the fan is rotating)
Make sure you BOOT the computer with the monitor plugged in the card… sometimes if it detects a monitor on the mobo’s display when it boots, it won’t bother using the video card. It sounds like it’s what you done, but just in case.

Could be a dead GPU, if possible try it on another computer.

maybe you forgot to disable the onboard GPU, if your board has one.
Do you actually have a complete computer? How do we know you’re not just sitting there with a video card, power supply, and a monitor?

And what video card did you used to have in it?
did you check if the gfx card is properly plugged into the pci-e slot?

plug your monitor to the mobo, and install drivers for the gpu. reboot, and plug the monitor in the gpu.
