So jelly.
It looks great and all, but once the repetivity sets in it’s going to get old fast.
You could say that of most games.
You could say that about life. Actually, that’s even more applicable to living things than life.
Well the whole freeroam thing has run it’s course.
What was interesting about the gta games were the stories, and someone has previously pointed out that with the story split between three people it wouldn’t be as interesting.
Other games have gone this direction before as well, and it was always the same. While claiming that there were tons of missions to do was correct, the sad truth was that the “tons” of missions were just repeats of the same missions, but with different characters.
Yeah, well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
yeah, open world as a format has gotten stale. GTAV shoulda been an arena shooter.
In fact, fuck videogames. They’ve been around for decades and people only have new ideas a few times a year. It’s run its course. hurr
durr
hurr durr
I was hoping someone would have something to add on the whole lack of story point, but I guess not?
Nope.
I think they were always experimenting with this(not just with the GTAIV expansions, but also GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories on PSP) and finally decided that it was interesting enough to include it in one game.
Personally I always liked coming back to the same map but playing a different side of the story, using a different character. I didn’t mind when they had the same mission done by another character, because it always ties in to the original story and completes it in a way.
Great. You can find another game to play.
I just wanna shoot hookers in better graphics, idk whats with all this talk about “story”
And they give you a gun in real life…
They give guns out in real life, you have to buy sarcasm detectors though.
I thought I might be crazy but other people seemed to have noticed it as well. The GTAV trailer that aired during Breaking Bad appeared to be running at 60 fps.
Probably running off a PC. GTAIV was running at 30fps on console I think, and even that had the occasional dip in framerate. Rockstar is no stranger to pushing the visual envelop with console though. Hopefully the PC version will be a worthy version, since GFWL is being shut down.
As long as the PC version is gonna have modding support, all good.
I tried modding GTA IV. It was so tedious making a simple model work, I hope they’ve made modding easier in V.
^ This
I just broke GTAIV … again … for trying to add some mods. -.-
