The trailer was good, but…
Maps have too much props.

Deal with it.
San Andreas, or at least part of it, nice. Can’t wait for more info.
I hope (but don’t expect) the driving physics feel a bit more like the PS2 games. I’ll get the game either way.
Looks like its more with the mountains but can’t says if its the Sierra Nevada or Santa Monica Mountains.
It seems Rockstar has abandoned the slightly cartoonish visual style they always had for the GTA games for something more realistic. I like it.
Wasn’t it the case with GTAIV ?
Well I’m sure that what he’s saying is that GTAIV wasn’t just an experiment and will actually become the style now.
I am too excited to write a good post so I just flame shit:
THIS GAME IS GONNA BE SO AWESOME
DID YOU SEE THAT JET HOLY SHIT AAAAAAARHGODBOGBONGODNOG
Which one ?
YES!
Well, the main characters in IV were still a bit exaggerated. I mean, their features were within the realm of possibility, but god damn they were out there.
Especially Niko himself.
Great! The game doesn’t even have a release date yet and I already know how it’s gonna end. Thank you very much you dipshit!
That’s assuming that it’s even correct . I didn’t realize that the person in the trailer was hispanic though he might be.
GTAIV had a stylized art direction for the characters, meaning they looked pretty good but they weren’t going for a photorrealistic look like in games like Crysis or Uncharted. Like xalener said, they had slightly cartoonish proportion and exaggerated features.
Anyone else think GTA getting into the present is a bad thing? I think it makes it a lot hard to (intelligently) parody a culture if its still going on and you lack perspective. Also I get the feeling this game will have an even shitty soundtrack than IV because of this.
GTAIII was in the present as GTAIV. Both were great. Sure it lacks some kind of perspective but its not that bad.
Really? Its been awhile, I thought it was in the 80’s although that may have been a diffrent one.
And GTA 4 seemed like it was at it took place at least 5 years ago when it released.
Edit: I just realized I was thinking of Vice City when thinking of one that took place in the 80’s
It will be the same for GTAV, 4-5 years of latency between the story and today. The subprimes crisis dates back to 2008 after all.
Trailer music was good.
