Bumping, but I’ve not read the whole thread, so apologies if it’s been mentioned.
Gurren Lagann. Anyone seen it, it’s a Mech show. Just started watching it with my bro, it’s funny stuff

Great Teacher Onizuka
I gave up on Blood +. Really isn’t worth watching, something about the storyline is extremely lacking. Also, every time they introduce a new character I like the character dies.
Black Lagoon had some pretty good action in it, and a really good dub, but overall I couldn’t finish it (or at least the second season, think I actually finished the first). Revy just bugged the hell out of me and then when the vampire kids showed up it just felt like a total shark-jumping. It’s supposed to be all gritty and realistic and then it just up and introduces psychotic vampire twins? Couldn’t handle it.
Ones I’d recommend through and through are Trigun, Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, Full Metal Panic, Gurren Lagann, and Gunbuster. Ones I’d recommend with a disclaimer would be FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Excel Saga. FLCL packs a lot into only six episodes, but it’s pretty crazy and some people don’t like where some of it’s themes go, or feel that it doesn’t make sense. Excel Saga is wild and ridiculous and is fun to watch but it can get on your nerves after a while. Evangelion starts out cool robot action but the ending is a twist that a lot of people don’t enjoy. Haruhi is…well, Haruhi. It’s quirky and Haruhi may get on your nerves, but it’s characters are likable and it has interesting story. The second season, while it gets a lot of flak for Endless Eight (eight episodes of nearly exactly the same thing), also advances the story into a more serious area, and explores some of the darker natures of the characters. I’ve liked it a lot so far, and it has a rabid fanbase, but its not for everyone.
Also Code Geass for sure, it was most likely already mentioned. Epic ending.
The one thing I didn’t like about the ending was that it was the end of the series.
It is really amazing that they were able to tie up all the loose ends so spectacularly and still have a believable but unexpected ending. As well as some tragedy and some happiness in the end.
Guyver is the only anime I have ever enjoyed, I have not watched a lot of anime however.
Guyver was like an acid trip version of power rangers. Although I have only seen one episode fragment…
PIC UNRELATED
That’s the only PBF I’ve never laughed at. It’s the kind of strip that isn’t funny for internet jokes.
That’s because it’s totally unrelated to the term, the PBF comics artist just thought it was a funny word or something.
And you win the Useful Post of the Month award!
Forums are not poseable, only ragdolls are.
Yeah, it’s pretty much the only series that I don’t want another season, although I really like it, it would make the ending not quite as epic.
So, watched a bit more Gurren Lagann.
WHAT THE FUCK THEY KILLED KAMINA OH GON WHAT THE FUCK
.
Second half of Gurren Lagann is better anyway.

So I’ve been told. I shall pass judgement on it soon enough.

Holy mega spoilers Batman!
Lol I thought the exact same thing when it happened, I had no idea it was going to get that serious. Thought it was just gonna be like FLCL. But they handle it quite well. And the second half is…well, let’s just say I haven’t seen many series do what Gurren Lagann does for it’s second half. It’s quite unique.
Resurrecting this long dead thread. Just finished Highschool of the Dead. Was incredible, now my second favorite, falling behind only Code Geass. But it ends abruptly, and I’m left with a desire to watch more anime. Any suggestions?
Lol okay
One Piece, Berserk, and Soul Eater.
Although it would help to know what you’ve watched.
Also welcome back .
