Gman; Saviour of earth?

I just think that when we become useless to the G-man he will let us die in enemy hands.

We know he’s capable of doing that. He did it in the “bad” ending of HL1.

What if the Gman is a psychic projection by a rebel Combine Advisor who has been imprisoned by the Combine and has somehow managed to project his mental powers to manipulate people to bring about the end of the Combine and secure his own freedom?

It could explain the speech impediment (unfamiliarity with verbal communication), the invincibility, his cold-hearted approach to his “investments”, and his motives (freedom or just revenge).

I think Gman resembles Mr. Burns in The Simpsons. He talks without emotion, he seems to have an extreme amout of power, & most likely desires to watch the world crumble by picking some pawns to do the dirty work for them, yet suprizingly Mr. Burns actually could crack a smile maybe about once a decade. I also have a suspicion Gman IS the overlord of the combine homeplanet and just wants to toy around with Gordon & Alyx (killed off Eli because he wanted to tell Gordon about what Gman planned all along) instead of governing a cesspool planet full of flying potatoes any longer.

after all the speculation, it turns out that gman is actually mr burns in disguise

you didnt see THAT one coming, did you?

lol

I did, not big surprise.

Also I think that the G-man knows something about the vorts wich he… doesn’t like as he showed us in ep1 when he got stopped by them and in ep2 when he said that the only form of humanity they knew was a crowbar about to smash their heads

^ yet they still have the decency of being honored in gordon’s presence, and being more than “mutual” friends & lend more assistance.:freeman:

Well, either the Vorts or the Gman is trying to mislead Gordon. I would tend towards Gman but maybe that’s what Valve want us to think…

I think that Gman and the Vorts are on the same side… sort of. They are two sides of the same side, and both have their own plans for Gordon. and the rest of the resistance.

since the vorts stop gman from contacting gordon in ep1, thats what gman is referring to in ep2, when “your friends were occupied”

MEGA FAIL.
Gman is the one responsible for the Resonance Cascade, thus plunging humanity into a war. Yeah, he’s a ‘good’ guy, alright.

for me, G-man has his own side and his own plans. And we are in those plans just to take out the combine or other problems that don’t let him finish his work.

no u :3

Gman has his own plans. I don’t think he can afford to care about sides or good vs. bad.

i wonder who gman works for

Self-employed, maybe. That way he can claim back sales tax on his “i-i- investments” from the government.

LOL!!

Gman does claim to have employers. And with Breen’s whole line about Gordon’s contract being “open to the highest bidder” I just want to know what the hell the kind of payment is going on.

I think you know what kind of payment.

Don’t fight it, Gordon, just let it happen.

Mmmm… yeah…

I’ve been thinkin’ a lot and maybe G-man did the ressonance cascade to prepare an army with Xenians and humans together against the combine but Nihilianth made it go wrong with his slave collars and his conquer plans.
