Gman; Saviour of earth?

Like most people i have formed a theory about Gman. I don’t really think he’s evil or the illuminati, but I kind of think that he’s a good guy that’s guiding some of the main characters through events (Eli, Gordon, Alyx and so on).
Perhaps he is an agent for some government where they don’t really get out much and have formed many varieties of speech disorder.:freeman:

But seriously I think he’s a good/neutral guy who’s just trying to use the main characters as figures to save humanity and create hope for the people.

Thoughts on this theory welcome.

What happened to our G-man thread? Anyway it is possible. It is possible that G-man tried to warn Eli about the Advisors.

Doubtful. Even though he has a speech impediment, he talks a lot better than any modern day gangsters.

My oppinion is that G-man’s NOT FUCKING HUMAN, but uses a human form to communicate with gordon, shepherd, alyx, and Eli. In my oppinion he’s a creature from a planet the combine enslaved, and they, like the vortigaunts, had all them powers. So he uses em to prevent what happened with him, to the humans.

I’m with wafflewarrior in that he’s not human. Probably they are fighting the Combine. Heck maybe they are not even really corporeal (does he ever pick anything up?) and therefor needs humans to work the guns for him.

Well we know he has some form of cryo and time manipulation.

I see him as a universal agent who manages mercenaries and assassins for the highest bidder. He has no allegiance other than to the funds he receives.

He’s a messenger, serving a higher order. Remember that song that was playing when you see him with a Crow on his shoulder? Few years go I was channel surfing and that song was playing during the credits for some random movie, freaked the hell outta me.

No, I’ve always thought that at sometime the Gman would be some sort of enemy or something. He can obviously stop time and God knows what else.

One interesting thing to note, the Vortigaunts know about him. In HL2 he was on the TV the Vortigaunt was powering and in Ep:2 the Vorts stopped him from messing with you. Food for thought.

But yeah, I don’t see how he was the savior of Earth. It was either Gordon, or Shepard. I don’t recall one of the others killing some giant monster that tried to destroy the Earth.
