No.

Ghost Hunters

Ghosts are the paranoid fantasies of the gullible.

Ghost is real. I believe in it.

i personally don’t believe in ghosts for the same reason i don’t believe in religion; it’s just too unlikely.

EDIT: jeannotvb, that doesnt work either.

It’s unlikely that religion exists?

Just so I don’t completely ruin this thread, here’s my actual opinion:

I don’t think ghosts exist, but I can’t say for a fact that they don’t. What I believe tho, is that the human mind can produce some very believable visual tricks and hallucinations.

no, the story of christianity for example is unlikely. walking on water and splitting ocean are a couple of examples

Fuckin’ Norway

The thing that gets under my skin is the “I can’t say for a fact that they don’t exist” argument. It comes down to falsifiability. What is the difference between an invisible, untouchable dragon that spits heatless fire and a nonexistent dragon?

Until one can provide evidence that they do, why should I bother to believe they exist or don’t exist?

until one can provide evidence that they don’t exist, i’ll keep on saying i am pretty sure they don’t exist, but i really have no way of knowing.

Excuse me?

Exactly. Just because you don’t believe in it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

pretty much.

Just because you can’t provide a single solitary shred of evidence doesn’t mean that they DO exist.

You could argue that the lack of evidence is the proof that they don’t exist but maybe it just means we still haven’t figured out how to effectively find that kind of evidence.

We could go around this subject all day but the fact remains that you can’t prove neither their existence or inexistence.

Because the current laws of physics right now says it is not possible. Then again there are stars and planets that shouldn’t exist by our current definitions of the universe…
