Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

Only if they release BM exclusively via Steam, which is not the current plan AFAIK. Even then, steam has multiple servers locared in major parts of the world, it might get overloaded, but only in specific places.

Someone make a 9gag post and post the link on the black mesa facebook page so the post makes it to the hot page on 9gag and finally everyone knows about it.

9gag is stupid, don’t post there.

YES YES! YES!!!

ppl are stupid, so…what’s the problem?

BTW I looked at the comments on Greenlight.

For Slender: Source there were a lot of stupid fucks trying to promote BM on their commentfield, saying “Slender is shit” and such. Plz stop that juvenile shit right away. It doesn’t do the BM team any good.

EDIT: I kindof contradicted my first line there so…whatever

I don’t really care if votes are coming from stupid people or not…

Of course I got my vote in and I’m rallying my friends to do the same. We’re all stoked about this. We’ve all waited a long time for this but I think these next five days will prove to be the longest! Best of luck to the Developers with Black Mesa and all their future endeavors.[/SIZE]

word @torch

It’s like someone said: “all publicity is good publicity”

But… but… Slender IS shit!

At least for now… I mean, it has potential, but for the time being, it’s just as bad as any other mod that just started up. The only thing it has going for it at the moment is that everyone is all bandwagoned on the concept of Slender games right now. I agree that posting on their page about BM is dumb, but let’s be real here, in comparison to BM is it literally a piece of crap.

Slender: Source has not been in development for that long. I wouldn’t use the adjective “shit” quite yet as it’s still very early. I’d like to see where it goes but Black Mesa is on the flipside: Release is now around the corner. And Xen is just a little ways away.

I’ll be watching Slender: Source, but, for now, it has much more development that needs to happen first.

Oh, for fuck’s sake - don’t go into Slender Source’s comments and make completely unnecessary, rude ramarks trashing their game. It makes Black Mesa fans look like a bunch of douchebags.

It´s mostly the name that bugs me. They make it look like a sequel or remake of AgentParsec´s game and at the same time they go on about how it´s a completely different game. That´s just using someone else´s work to promote your own without even asking for permission and that´s not cool.

The game itself looks alright and I´ll be watching its development, but I really do hope they change the name.

Im wondering…
do i have to sum the 22% and 39% or the 39% is the real one? because if it is its going suspiciously slow

39% is the real one, don’t listen to people saying otherwise.

For what it’s worth, the higher number has always been the correct one. Ignore unusually low numbers. They are wrong.

At some point in time, everyone that wants to see it on Steam has voted for it and you just run out of people. This happens if the number from which you’re deriving the percentage is too high.

Valve has stated, “We are most interested in finding the games that people want, not requiring them to always hit a specific number of votes.” So, even if something only has 45% of the vote, they would still be number 1 and Valve would look at that very closely.

Also, from Valve regarding the total number in which they’re deriving the percentage: “It’s going to change during the first few days/weeks since we don’t know what kind of traffic to expect.”

Exactly, it has been going kinda slow for some time now.

How many greenlight games have already been released?

A grand total of 0.

I have seen several people saying that there has been no games released through greenlight yet.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
