No, it will be in Steam with a Release Date, and the 14th it will be available for download
[COLOR=‘Red’]No more speed test posts in here, please.
I hope it makes Steam before the 14th.
Because once it gets introduced into the Steam system, I’m pretty sure that I’ll be able to remotely initiate the download to my computer at home using the Steam Android App (yes you can do that! It’s awesome), since I’ll be at school at the time of release.
Is a Steam collapse possible due to massive amount of users downloading suddenly?
[COLOR=‘Red’]No speed tests. No internet billing duscussion. No off-topic. I’m not going to say it again.
dky.tehkingd.u and Medkit that wasn’t intended to your 2 recent posts.
I wonder if some game magazines already have applied to put BlackMesa on their DVD.
That would be, besides Steam, a great way to deliver the game.
i have been spreading the word to random tf2 guys to get more rates, but they simply ignore
Yep, those random tf guys are really ignorant.
But still, I have that feeling… that vision… that certainty… that monday or tuesday (or even earlier) Valve will announce the first game that made it through Greenlight into Steam: BlackMesa.
Mark my words!
So if Greenlight is somehow glitch-splitting up the votes into two separate caches (how extremely odd) then we’re looking at BM currently having something like 57% of votes needed.
Voted!
Looks as if that might be the case… I always get one of two numbers each time I refresh (at present, they are 38% and 19%). The second number seems to have risen quite fast, as it was around 6% last time I saw it.
I think the votes are sadly enough, levelling out. You have 55000 likes on facetube, but not all of them have steam accounts, and as far as I know, humans are the laziest species on the planet and they will not be bothered to register on steam, because it takes several minutes to do that,[and you have to BUY something to be fully registered] and with the e-mail confirmation and shit…that’s too much to handle for some ppl.
I think BM will level out @40-something, and VALVe will reckognize that as 100%. And there you go, BM on steam. Party.
Don’t forget you cannot vole unless you buy something on Steam.
If a game manages to acheive nearly 60% (The number you get when you combine the two figures that have been alternating for the last few days) in less than a week while projects that have been around much longer stagnate at 15%, that’s still impressive, laziness be damned.
Besides, Valve has been following this project with interest since it began. There’s absolutely no way it WOULDN’T make it on Steam.
yeah hehe I did my edit on the post a few seconds ago
Absolutely…there is no doubt in my mind. I just think VALVe set the bar too high this time around, and they will adapt.
Keep in mind that this is a brand new experiment for them …and us.
It would have to be a ridiculous number of users, considering that Steam has been able to handle releases of major, hotly anticipated titles with no problem while simultaneously supporting the thousands of other titles already available on Steam. Unless you expect tens of millions of people to attempt a Day One download of Black Mesa, odds are that Steam’s servers will handle it.
someone spam at 9gag pls !
ahahahaha @ the home page.
Don’t spam it anywhere. Seriously all it does is make you look like an asshole.
Maybe talk about it if it comes up, or bring it up in conversation but don’t just join a chatroom and be all: yo dawgs black mesa be the shit vote for it yo.
What happened with the home page? It looks the same to me.
I did see hubi talking about an updated image, but its still just zombies with thumbs up.
