Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

If they were going to shut it down they would probably have done it already! Valve are probably looking forward to it just as much as anyone but they are not going to give special treatment for BlackMesa we need to work for it just as much as the other games/mods. And our work is paying off!

:freeman:

Sure I voted yes!

17% As of now.

As for Valve: I think the release of Black Mesa will become their excuse for the delay of Episode / HL 3

Agreed. Not only does Valve know about Black Mesa already, but the whole point of something like Greenlight is to gauge popular demand for games. Spreading the word and getting people to vote isn’t some sort of exploit–it’s what you’re supposed to do.

I think Valve must have been in cahoots to know when Black Mesa was gonna be out they wanted to have something as a gauge for greenlight to know how fast something could take off…

The guys on the greenlight team will look back years from now and be like wow do you remember when black mesa hit… and it was like averaging 1000 shots an hour… I think Black Mesa is definitely setting the bar for green light.

Wait what, does it say 15% for anyone else?

18% NOW!!!

Are you checking the top list rating thingy or the actual BM Greenlight page? Because the rating jobby seems to update slowly and irregularly.

I voted for it, though to be frank I don’t really care if it gets on steam or not. I can still play it just fine if I don’t download it through steam.

I care because it means some of my stupid friends who like HL but can’t wrap their head around installing mods will have a quick and easy way to play.

Though they shouldn’t be that stupid, a few of them still are.

It’s got nothing to do with being on steam. Who cares if black mesa is on steam, this is about CRUSHING THE COMPETITION BECAUSE WE CAN. :rage:

That too. We have to be #1

Jizz :jizz: it is so nice having some new screens too… watched the vid again (on steam) for first time in over year… still says 2009!! :fffuuu:

Huh?.. Wha?..

They have better things to do than update that video, I’m fairly certain of that…

September 14, 2012 is the new 2009.

:frowning: I know… the 5 minutes in AE would exhaust all resources… and heck, I am sure almost no one (new to BMS) will notice…

Honestly yeah it wouldn’t be that hard I think. Too many people are stupid enough to get pissed/confused about that kind of stuff. A simple annotation would do the job.

FUCK YEAH!

nah, this’s time is for real

You are right. In light of my newly found enthusiasm I hope that Black Mesa destroys all the other stuff on Greenlight.

At this pace, there’s a good chance this will be one of the first things greenlit.

voted.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
