Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

That would appear to be us up to 15%, still doing around 1% per hour.

So if we need 100,000 votes that means we are doing 1000 votes per hour, or a vote every 3.6 seconds… wait till people get done work !!!

16% as of 1:40 CST seems to be picking up!!!

Man, that new screenshot of lambda core on the greenlight page looks sick

Also you guys are in the top 10 in Mod DB again

/voted

Also, the purpose of Greenlight seems to be mainly to give Valve an idea of what people want to see on Steam, so they can best provide their service. People clearly want Black Mesa on Steam, so I don’t doubt they’ll get in somehow.

That’s kind of different though. Portal 2 mods aren’t technically fully fledged mods, since the authoring tools don’t allow for that. The proper place for Portal 2 maps would be the Steam Workshop, which is presumably why it was removed.

here’s the mod: https://www.moddb.com/mods/afterword

On the greenlight stat tracker, Black Mesa is the only game which is in top 200 and has been there for under 100 hours. All other games have had like 100-200 hours to get to their place. We’re definetly going to be first!

16%, We’re locked in at 5th highest greenlight game. :3

lets do it 100% before 14th so we can play with it earlierr  DD

Getting the game accepted into steam before release doesn’t make release any earlier

It just makes it easier to download. Although I’m sure there will be plenty of torrents and mirrors and all that…

Personally I think its just a great tip of the hat to the hard working team that put this together for everyone!!!

Alright, here’s a retarded question. Where are you finding this top 100 list?

First post has now a link for it.

Thank you good sir. I’m sure all of the people who didn’t know that already are much better off for it.

Hah, only put on about 14 hours ago and it’s already number 5.

Slender: Source, your days are numbered! Pfft, 29% in over 6 days? Try 17% in 14 hours!

It’s funny how some people are like “Black mesa, who even fuckin remembers that mod” and then stuff like this clearly shows how wrong those people are.

17%!
fuck yes, hopefully we will have 27% by tomorrow

Wasn’t Gabe quoted as saying somewhere that a full recreation of Half-Life by the modding community was inevitable? I don’t see why they’d want to shut it down.

Valve is already fully aware of this mod and, in fact, several at Valve have stated that they themselves can’t wait to play it.

Pretty much. Back when Black Mesa won MOTY '0X (not sure if it was '07 or '08 ) the mod was even mentioned in the Steam news.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
