Get Black Mesa on Steam! We can do it!

I was about to think of a great reply when I became distracted by Unhingedmouses signature…I have been here for all of those :’( Were there any major events before that? I thought the website was hacked…unless that is the data crash. Either way, it brings back old memories.

So…35% A whole 2% in 9-10 hours. Come on!

Hmmmmmmmmm…so if Black Mesa goes to Steam, and I have it installed, would I have to reinstall it?

Here is some math, muthafuckaz:

3.5GB @ average of 2MB/s = 29.16 minutes

3.5GB @ average of 1.5MB/s = 38.88 minutes

3.5GB @ average of 1.0MB/s = 58.33 minutes

So, if torrents work out great crosses fingers and I get an average of 1.5MB/s, I should be playing BMS before noon (eastern) on Friday… me likey that math!

That is Star Trek Next Generation and not the original Star Trek. The original was older, much more campy, produced by Lucille Ball (I Love Lucy), and had Captain Kirk apposed to the Next Generation’s Captain, my personal favorite, Captain Picard.

Edit: sorry I’m retarded and misread your post.

Most Likely!

You know, I originally thought “duh”, but if you moved the existing files to where Steam would install Black Mesa, it would probably detect the existing files and only download the steam-specific files.

It depends on whether or not the game uses Game Cache Files or not.
If it doesn’t your out of luck, but if it doesn’t all you need to do is verify the files.

Have any devs mentioned the possible number of initial torrent seeders at launch?

36%!

Yeah, there were other events, but I was a lurker for a long time before I actually joined the forums. I also don’t know if anyone made the little tags for earlier events, most of these I just collected as I went with the exception of one or two that I made after having started the collection.

Not to my knowledge, but I’m sure they will get as many team members and close friends of said team members to contribute. So 50-100 might be a reasonable estimate.
[COLOR=‘DarkSlateGray’]…might be.

i rather wait patiently to the steam release, if its gonna be available through torrents but the Steam one is gonna come like 2 weeks later i dont think its worth the bother to play it earlier if you will have to re download it again.
Im very lazy, mostly because my internet conection is tihSlluB

that amount of laziness is mind boggling

lol .ylisae sdrowkcab daer nac I

Also, unless there is a guarantee that it will actually come out on Steam, and when, I suggest just downloading it via one of the other methods. You might end up waiting 2 weeks for nothing.

Edit: Also, the fact that “rorriMAesU” responded to a post with stuff spelled backwards is highly amusing to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Votes at Thirty-Six Percent.

Four posts and thirty two minutes too late buddy. :retard:

So I just signed in and saw 4%, then signed in again and it read 36%. Did we lose 32% for a bit there?

It is very impressive. From the creation of the entry on Greenlight to 1st place in less than 3 days. Kudos to everyone!

EDIT: loony: There is a problem with Greenlight’s servers. Ignore the lower percentage. We’re at 36% as of last check.

This is our Plan A. Steam is Plan B

Black Mesa; highest approval percentage on Greenlight.

I think Black Mesa is a shoo-in, to be honest, in getting on Steam.

Don’t know when this “reaching out” will happen, though.

it seems the 35% conter is kept but the 21% counters is back at 9%
we are loosing votes becase most of the votes go to the lower counter
