I did it just for fun. I had the idea years ago but never followed through with it. Freeman’s Mind inspired me to revisit the idea and thanks to Crafty’s exporting capabilities and Blender it was pretty simple to do. I thought you guys might find the map interesting (google found this thread when I was checking if anyone else had made such a map).
Also, I won’t be doing the color route thingy, because Blender can’t render one-sided polygons. Without lighting it’d look dull.

Just a quick thought from a Blender newbie:
Have you checked the polygons’ normals? I know you’ve probably already thought about this but sometimes the simplest things are the most-overlooked. Just a guess.
