General Portal 2 Thread/Thoughts [Spoilers]

Yeah i saw that when i went and re watched the ending on YouTube. I was too into the moment of the game to notice the fade out and in when playing ^.^

It needed more cake.

Valve was originally going to install crushers, lasers, and turrets onto Wheatley as well as the bomb dispenser/plates, but then the boss battle was too punishing.

Neither do black people. Valve apparently doesn’t understand genetics. Or maybe “Science” is Asian…

EDIT: Also, GLaDOS mentions (as a potato, so she “literally does not have the power to lie to you”) that Chell is adopted.

Alyx’s mom is Asian.
My mom is black and my dad is Korean and I look… Like nothing anyone’s ever seen before.

Asian guy on black girl is a very sought after in the porn world.
Also I’ve never really seen Chell as Asian. She just seemed like a dark skinned women, probably a bit middle eastern.

If her face model is of any racial relevance, she’s Brazilian and Japanese.

Neither of those are white.

If she’s a Brazilian of Portuguese decent, then she’s white on that side.

I don’t want to look any further into this. Looking up Alésia Glidewell to get that info feels weird enough, I don’t wanna get info on her parents.

I know I don’t post here much (read: at all), but this bugged me enough to get other opinions on the matter.

I just played through Portal 2 and loved it. The game was well put together, gameplay was smooth and felt natural with some puzzles that had me thinking. The moon bit was pretty cool too.

Alas, my game was ruined by these bloody loading screens after each chamber, not to mention the cutscene at the end? I love the Half-Life series probably more than any other title, reason being the whole, “play from the character’s point of view” thing Valve’s got going on. It just kinda pissed me off. S’all.

So I really want to read this Final Hours of Portal 2 thing, but it’s only available on Ipad, which is fucking lame. What do?

I thought Portal 2 was way too short. Main campaign for me lasted about 7 hours, the co-op about 5. Way too short.

Glad I just rented it tbh.

I thought it was a pretty decent length, tbh. But I guess people will always whine and complain about something won’t they?

They always do, without a exception. Recently, I’ve read that Telltale games have delayed the Jurassic Park adventure game. They even give a compensation. Those who preordered it get a free Telltale game of your choice. And what do the people? They bitch around, that they can’t play it this month.

The length of P2 was absolutely perfect, imo. Not too long, not too short. It was way longer than P1, as Valve said so. I’ve been completely entertained.

I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy, in fact quite the opposite. I just wish it was longer. DLC has been confirmed for it now aswell.

Portal 2 was pretty short but I didn’t feel cheated. I feel that if a game is less than 10 hours it’s short but if it’s a really high quality and fun game it makes up for it.

Portal 2 was fucking awesome !
Shame they removed the harder levels before the release, like the spike ones ;f

It was great! Can’t wait for the SDK.

Incidentally, fun fact: moon rocks are actually black.

I still can’t believe how right I was about hating apple, the ipod took off so fast even though it was the most crippled mp3 player ever released, the first iPod was firewire only, even though USB was already widely in use.

You guys obviously have never seen a Brazilian person. They’re pretty much white / look like super tanned white people. I used to know one that was whiter than me, anyways, and I’m super whitey. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyways, I finished Portal 2 earlier today (long before I dared go near anyone who had already finished it) and I liked it alright. I think the giant turret animal king was kind of obnoxious and pushing it, but other than that, I loved it. ESPECIALLY when you get the (albeit scorched) Companion Cube back.

It’s full of misinformed/false information anyway, according to some Valve employees.

You do realize what you’re saying?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
