my friend bought a gateway laptop. did he make the biggest mistake ever? whats the pro and cons of the gateway laptop brand?
FFFFFF-
No.
gateway:
pros: at least its not a mac
cons: it’s gateway
actually, mac laptops are pretty good. much better than many other brands. so long as you install windows on it.
as for the gateway, idunno.
Yeah but mac laptops:
pros: can install windows, great specifications and battery life
cons: they are not very cheap.
Price doesn’t change the fact that Gateway is by far the most horrible brand for any computer, tout court (yes, this is including “brands” such as Medion, etc).
My pentium 3 that I had for 10 years was a Gateway…
It was built like a goddamn tank.
Tanks generally aren’t Porsches.
Listen here, you.
Okay, I’ve got nothing. But still, it served me well for 10 years and didn’t fall apart. And it was lightning fast when we got it.
Tanks were made of Kruppstahl and had a Porsche engine. :retard:
Another con: No right click button on the machine.
Incoming Bolteh macfag ragestorm.
yeah, because we all know macs have their mouses built in, and you can never replace them with non-mac mice. :retard:
Well since we are talking about laptops here, you cant exactly go and replace the built in trackpad. You can still attach a standard 2 button mouse for use on a windows installation, but replacing the trackpad would be far too risky.
Please tell me how to replace the trackpad of a MacBook without making it look like you’ve hacked the thing to pieces, thus rendering the primary benefit of Apple hardware (the aesthetics) redundant? :3
Tried CTRL+click? works like right-click, but i guess it doesn’t do it when you install windows on it via bootcamp… you have to get an external mouse for that, i think.
I disagree with the one button joke, but I agree that mac users are gullible enough to rage at it.
Wait, do mac laptops actually still only have one mouse button?
What joke?
Yes, my mate bought one very recently. Within a couple of weeks he installed Windows 7 over it, and then discovered the issue of having no right button! Obviously he can use a USB mouse but doesn’t it kinda ruin the point of laptops to require peripherals?
who in their right mind would want to use a trackpad?
