I do on my laptop. I don’t want to dick about keeping a USB mouse with my laptop all the damn time. It’s just easier to use the trackpad.
I find that hard to believe. Every trackpad I’ve ever used has been a piece of shit.
Probably because they aren’t designed for flippers!
Ohohoho! Well played, sir.
2 fingers on trackpad + click = right click
ctrl + click = right click
mouse = right click
To be fair, I actually prefer the 2-finger-click on Macbooks over the right clicking on a 2-button trackpad of other laptops. I don’t have to use both hands or move my fingers, or twitch my thumb to position itself for a left or right click. I just put index- and middlefinger on the trackpad and throw down my thumb in an ergonomic fashion with minimum effort.
Exactly.
But that’s the thing. It doesn’t require peripherals. This is just another case of mental retardation.
^What if you’re on Windows OS on the macbook? Does it work then?
Yes.
oh, i didnt know. don’t have a macbook
I don’t see how not being aware of that (simply because I have never had any reason TO learn that) counts as “mental retardation”. Surely it’s just a matter of being ignorant of that one piece of information?
BACK ON TOPIC:
I have a Gateway machine. It’s the one I’m using now. And let me tell you, IT BLOWS. Run, run very fast. Whenever I have money, I’m upgrading to something non-Gateway.
Honestly, lets not turn this into another mac/pc debate. Its obvious that PCs are superior in every single way if you are an experienced computer user. /trollbait
Now, gateways are pieces of shit because they use very cheap hardware. And when i sayy cheap I mean half the hardware inside your machine doesn’t have any indication of being made by any brand (no stickers, logos, etc.)
You’ll be replacing hardware in no time and questioning yourself how the power supply couldn’t handle the basic hardware in your PC when it produces more than enough wattage and voltage on the rails.
The only good Mac is a free Mac, and the only good PC is a custom-built one.
EDIT: Oh, and they have tons of bloatware. If for some reason I got a gateway, first thing I’d do is zero-fill the hard drive (not just format it), and reinstall it with a clean version of Windows.
