Gaming computer Recommendations

That may be the case for you because you don´t have the speakers to take advantage of it, or simple don´t have the need for it, but this doesn´t mean that a Sound card is useless, not by far

Change in system.

Motherboard changed to:
Asus P8H67-M EVO New B3 Rev Motherboard (H67 chipset uATX, Intel?s 1155, USB 3.0/Sata 6Gb/s, GPU Boost & 8+2 Phase Power Design-Longer Life and Higher Efficiency).

If there is a fail in the change that can ruin the pc please tell me.

Never said useless just not needed. Also I have a 5.1 surround sound home theater system as my speakers, but I use a headset for the most part sound quality for the speakers and headset are clear and great for the stuff i do.

Also like i said before i wouldn’t go with a micro atx motherboard unless the case your getting can only use it

Do you want to see the case? here. Judge it.

Nice choice! : )

Then yeah if you´re using headphones all the time, then no need for sound card, does seem like a waste since you have a 5.1 s system though.

Thanks. I think it’s a fine CPU now. But if it can be improved without using much money i would appreciate it.

If you can afford the i5 2500k that´d rock ; )

why would he get a 2500k with an h67 board?

In any case, get a i5 2500, without the k.

Goes over my Budget so i think i am gonna stick with the I3 core.

My bad, i´d sware I saw p67

Hey i would consider changing the PSU the GPU and the sound card so i may could get a i5-2500. Here’s the things tell if me if it would be a good or bad idea

GPU:
KFA2 Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti LTD OC 1GB GDDR5 HDMI White Edition Graphics Card PCI-E.

Sound card:
Asus Xonar DS Internal Sound Card (PCI, EAX 5.0).

PSU:
500 Watt Storm power Supply.

Core:
Intel Sandybridge i5-2500 Core i5 Quad-Core Processor (3.30GHz, 6MB Cache, Socket 1155).

Do not buy that PSU. Seriously, that’s as cheap as they come. Don’t go cheap on your PSU, is the single most important component of your PC.

Do you want me to switch back the the 650w quality psu?.

No.

Okay i have changed 2 things. The PSU and the sound card. Tell me if there could be an improvement.

Sound card:
ASUS Xonar D1 - Sound card - 24-bit - 192 kHz - 116 dB SNR - 7.1 - PCI - ASUS AV100 - low profile.

PSU:
OCZ OCZ700MXSP-UK 700W ModXStream Pro Power Supply.

I already told you: you can’t plug that sound card into that motherboard. It has no PCI slot, so forget it. It already comes with an integrated sound card that should be enough for most people. If you still want a dedicated one, it’ll have to be usb or firewire.

Okay i don’t know how many PCI-E slots there is back but if i got one for PCI-E will it plug in?.

If it’s only got one PCI-e, the graphics card will use it…

Lol just checked it here it said that it had 1x PCI slot so i guess it can hold the Sound card.

EDIT: it also said on the website im buying from that it has 1 PCI slot.

Sorry, I was still thinking you had the gigabyte mobo. my fault.
