Gaming computer Recommendations

hey does anyone know a good gaming computer that can handle the 3 games i want Portal 2, Left 4 dead 2 and Rift i have may found one but im not sure

Try get a Pentium 4, heard they are so great.
A Nvidia 5200 would do super as well.

Make sure you don’t apply any thermal grease while installing the CPU, that just makes it hotter than it needs to.
Using IDE cables for everything will also increase the airflow dramatically.

pentium 4 is very good yes but Nvidia 5200 cant run portal 2 portal 2 requires Nvidia 7600 or a intel hd graphics or a ATI card (i cant remember the name of the ATI card)

You’re obviously not on it

not on what?

Just stick to consoles before you hurt yourself… :aah:

okay i hoped someone could help me but obviously no one is helping at all
im probaly just gonna stick to that computer i found some time ago

double rinse up.

Do you market research kid, learn about computers and what drives them, then use your own head and go out there a build one. piece of piss.

fx man, you’re so bro.

How stupid can you be? Seriously.

Seriously.[/SIZE]

Erm… troll?

Ignore all these wankers, what’s your maximum budget and which country will you be ordering in? I can make some recommendations for pre-builts if you want, building your own is probably not a good idea.

I suggest getting at least an i5 if you can afford it. I have had pretty much no problem with any games I’ve tried to play with an i5.

A patronising attitude from some people that can stick pre-made components in a case. Learn a trade, then come back with a superior attitude.

I have a second PC, single core athlon 3800+ with onboard geforce 6150 and it runs faster than on my laptop core 2 duo 2ghz with intel GMA 3100

never EVER rely on intel graphics, always get a radeon/geforce

Try using AMD cpus.
Like the AMD Phenom II X4.

Also, try using a late 400 - 500 Geforce card.

I can’t really recomment a specific brand, but you’ll want at least a 3.5 Ghz Dual Core processor, 4 gigs of ram, a decent graphics card, and a motherboard that runs well with the graphics card and processor.
And at least 500GBs HDD space.

so whats your budget? (state your currency too)

Definitely not a good idea to build your own computer. Your clearly not that interested in computer hardware. Definitely get a prebuilt. We could give you a list of parts to buy, you buy them and then take them into a local computer store and get them to build it for you.
That way you wont get ripped off with the total pos motherboard which most prebuilts come with.

Go to cyberpower and buy a $600 pre-built machine. Long as you’re not using a monitor with a gigantic native resolution you’ll be all set for the titles you’ve listed.

Don’t expect any slots for extra sticks of ram, though. The mobos really aren’t that terrific, like p0rt1r said

Wow i didn’t think anyone posted on this place. I decided to stop posting at this thread since i thought you all thought i were a troll. but well i have decided to try creating it myself or maybe pay some bucks to a computer store so they can make it for me but well i have decided for the items to it. These items fit perfectly and they can run the games i want.

I’ve got a Dell XPS 720 with an Nvidia gtx275…It’s great and highly expandable…
